you could buy a sat finder, I've just done mine with one i bought brand new for 12 quid, i found it very accurate

Stevejo can you point me in the right direction of a start to finish install of oscam, I've looked on tutorials and they all look like things to do to oscam once you've installed it

Is oscam most complicated out of all of them all, I've looked on tutorials, is there an easy to follow one ?

So am I right in thinking that out of my 20 shares I set it to only two re-shares and two hops max for all and I get the same back then we should all be happy, but I and my peers could set there's to no re shares, I suppose you decide that between each other

basically yes as i was thinking the more a share gets shared then the more likeliness of channels freezing is that right? or is that down to the hops?
so i was thinking if i only re-share 10 of the 20 shares they would be better quality?

i,m confusing myself pal lol

im a bit confused on the re-sharing side of things, if say i have 20 shares, but i only want to reshare 10 of them with a certain fellow sharer, how would i do that, i know that if i put 1 or 2 in the max share on cam lines manager that restricts things on my side but does that only restrict my local or the other 20 shares i have, if that makes sense, i know what i,m wanting to say but struggling to put it down in words

after 6 hrs and packing it in on saturday getting the dish up but not getting any sats part from 28e I've had another go today, around 3hrs and after finally getting my head round it, its all good getting all the sats with really good signals, i,m well chuffed with myself, thanks for all your help on here its appreciated, I've already got a share and ordered a card today, fingers crossed it comes on christmas eve

I,m just going for it tomoz, what's worse that can happen, we have no tv and I have to listen to our lass complaining that we have no tv until I've drunk enough jack Daniels to blank her out or go into an alcohol induced coma

I've set my epg to download uk and Norway, my thing I carnt get my head round is, I thought I'd set my dish to south at the correct arc then select a channel on 1w then the dish would go to this sat, I would then fine tune to this sat and all the other sats would drop in?
How do I know we're to point my dish to get 1w?

I've downloaded epg for 1w but no channels show up, when my dish is up and I select 1w do I download again and the channels will come in as long as the dish is aligned

I thought if I set the epg to 1w to download it wouldn't download it unless the dish was locked on the sat

I've downloaded the channel list but there's no channels showing in the epg apart from 28e

I'm confused now, what I was going to do was set my dish/motor to south, then go to a channel on 28e then fine tune it on that sat then the others sats should fall in using usals?
How could I send the dish to a fta channel on 1w if there's no channels showing for that sat? Do I look on dish pointer to see were 1w is?

I've attached dish bracket to the motor arm, when I attach the dish to the bracket itself do I position it neutral to the bracket so the only arc is through the motor

Right, I've already done that so basically I've to make sure my dish is put up level and the right elevation angle which I should have as I've got it off dish pointer

how do you set it to that i looked and couldn't find usals, i found positioner and then i could select sats from a list

so instead of trying to find 1w steve, if i just send it to 28e and fine tune it, it should find the other sats ok

right, I've got all gear and going to put it up tomorrow weather permitting, I've done some reading about how it goes up, I've put my long and lat into my receiver, I've got catseye channel lists loaded, i,m going to attach my mount level on the wall and south facing, I've got my motor set to the correct angle according to dish pointer, I've attached the dish bracket central to the motor arm and i am going to point it south when attached to the bracket, sat finder at the ready to fine tune sat 1w, what i,m slightly confused about is how do i send my dish to 1w to find the sat through my box and pick up a fta channel, i,m presuming i cannot download a epg for 1w until it picks up the sat?

I,m trying to enter my longitude and latitude but it won't let me enter the first digit number 5 for some reason? I also don't know how to put a minus symbol in for my longitude
My latitude is 53.cxx
Longitude - 1.5xxx

I am in tuner b config, mode positioner (selecting satellites) is this the correct one or should I just be in (positioner)
I am keeping tuner A for 28e is this correct or do I need to use usals for both tuners

Last one, under longitude I have the option of east and west and north and south on the latitude, which do I choose? I've a south facing house if this makes any difference
