    Nice one wozbwfc,
Fun times ahead, i bought one for a play not to use as a server but rather as a media center under the TV running openelec with XBMC works a treat and navx, icefilms itv and iplayer all run fine.

can be a little slow at time opening up the films but its something new to play with.

I have downloaded some tuts to try programming and stuff which i will try to run through soon just to try and get myself better educated with linuxs and the commands and stuff.

I not sure about you but i got mine from RS components online when it arrived it was one made in china i later learnt i should have got it from Farnell these RPI are built in South Wales by Sony and are supposed to be better quality with Made in UK on the board.

soon hopefully all the kids will have these to play with in IT lessons in most secondary schools and colleges so expect a lot more stuff to from these little RPI'S

so it back to the old startx

    regards

Download compatable image to you pc unzip it or unrar it drop the file called vu duo to a clean formated pen. Put reciever to standby then power off using rocker switch on the back of the box. Place usb pen in the front usb slot, switch back on using rocker switch and reciever should see the usb. Then program.

This alwys works for e using blackhole images.

There is an app you can buy off the app store called Vu+ player i use one similar called Dreambox live i can then watch my channels on my ipad when the kids want to watch something using the second tuner in the Vu duo it works really well.

If this is not what you want to connect it for then i'm not sure if there is any other use for ipad3 with Linux receivers.

I have for sale my wife's mobile it is in very good condition and has lived in a case and a handbag for the past 13 months.
We are selling it as I have upgraded to iPhone 5 so she has had my iPhone 4.
The phone is faultless and has had very little use.
I have also load tomtom satnav app on it for the buyer.

It also comes with two gel cases 1 x black 1 x pink.

I want £80 for it 10% will be donated to the board the postage cost will be £7 royal mail special delivery

Good advice there from mrgmx! Renting a server should never be an option the idea of this is free fun sharing, you can either build your PC server or start off using your sat box as a server the only problem using your sat box is if you enjoy loading the latest image as soon as it is released then there will be an element of downtime for your peers when you are fiddling with your box.

Using a PC server there is never any down time and you can fiddle with new images cams channel setting on your sat reciever.

    Happy reading, building and sharing.

Hiya carmine glad you have gone for the duo m8 you will not be dissapointed, i use vhannibal channel list and edit it to suit my needs using dbedit or something like that. To get the picture arround the house i use a hdmi spliter with hdmi cable to kitchen and sitting room. Works really well and shit hot picture in every room.

Good luck with the new box m8 speak on msn later if your round bud.

I think you have made a good purchase, I bought one a few months back after luckily winning a Solo on here and being converted to VU+.

I've got to admit it is a fantastic box with great support, I'm sure as the above post suggest support will slow down and may not be the first to get the update firmware but i'm sure we are talking hours not days/weeks before update are available for Duo 1 over 2 they will be there for sometime yet m8.

I'm really looking forward to the Vu+ Duo2, but I wont get rid of my Vu+ Duo 1 it will have to migrate to the back room and my DM800HD original will have to be sold off.

    enjoy your new box buddy.
