    Steve if you up your smargo in to the pc and run the update tool for version 1.3 and click update it will tell you on the bottom bar what version you have then you get the option to update or cancel.
    My motto is if it ain't broken don't try and fix it!
    In other words if its working well and ok now maybe worth leaving it well alone, rather then getting yourself in to a position were you could knacker it up.


    But that would take the fun out of this Hobby.

    Yup good tip by Master there happened to me couple of months back check dyndns account is still active or check in your router to make sure dyndns status is set to ok or connected.
    but the symptoms are very simlar to what I was experiencing.

    ok done that but i can not restart it . It is the same as it was when i came in at 4 ish if i do anything with the oscam plugin like i have just done now tried to restart it just freezes on the DM800 and nothing can be done to remove it but unplug.
    it does say loading on the top left corner of the plugin!

    i can ftp but there is nothing oscam in there??? also the file you sent me i can not ftp it over as once i have un rar it ther are many folders and files in it.


    is there a way using telnet or something to wipe oscam out and reload it again via the tmp and ftp easy-oscam.tgz and install via telnet?

    Strugling at the moment rebooted oscam from browser remotely via logmein and can not get back in to it so may be game over in till i get from the office at 5ish.

    sorry for the delay had to pop home to switch on pc an dm, right lastnight i removed everything in that config file and only kept oscam conf,server and user.

    should i put the card in to the smargo now and which way should the chip be up pointing towards the top arrowed section of the smargo case or down pointing towrds the smoth base of the case? LOL silly questions i know.

    sorry to be a total newbie but how do i delete this oscam.dvbapi ?


    What way did you setup the smargo with the windows utility ? well i spoke to the guy i got it off who told me it was already latest version and setup for DM box, but last night i tried it in my PC windows seven loaded the drivers automaticaly the update software.exe recognised it was version 1 03 so i tryed the setup utilaty then kept it on automatic, changed it to dreambox, left it on T0 and pressed apply nothing seemed to happen no message on screen or anything so i just thout it must have done it.

    But we changed some thing last night together.
    I was wondering do you think the new image icvs dated 6/9/11 really has smargo support i can see in the kernal that the drivers are installed but i'm beging to dout it.


    also what do you us to edit your config is word pad ok as when i save the file it says the format may be changed never caused me any problems before with cccam.cfg but who knows maybe now with oscam.cfg.


    i have installed last night cccam 213 do i put it on cccam213 + oscam 100 in blue panel or just cccam213?

    I have done as you say but i still can not get the smargo to run my tring card.
    I am really worried i have a faulty smargo because it shows green when connect with no card and as soon as a card is entered the green light goes out. does this look correct now in server

  • smargo DM800 setup help

    Hi All,
    I have really started to struggle now with this one, i have loaded latest genuine firmware from dreammultimedia with bootloader #84 then re flashed with the latest ICVS firmware dated 6/9/11 which cliams to have smargo supported.
    Re loaded CCCAM 2.1.4 & OSCAM 1.00 via DCC and changed every thing to 755 including my cccam config.
    I can read my sly card in the internal slot as i could before, but now when i connect the smargo to the DM800 and try my sly card in it or my tring card it does not work. The smargo has a green light on it when first connected and the words usb device (4) show on the screen when i insert a card the green light goes out.
    not sure what this means.
    Hopefully it will be something simple like i aint added the correct info in to my cccam.cfg or the fact i do not know what if any config is required for OSCAM.

    Hi Guys
    sorry to jump on the thread but would it be possible for me to run a tring card in a DM800 via a smargo plugged in to the usb on the back, I ask this as i already have a card in the internal slot so i think i will need to invest in a smargo.
    Unless you guys know if i could plug a Pheonix usb programmer or a CAS3 in to the receiver and read tring card that way.
