master G … i tried but went less far than with e2m3u2bouquet…. I couldn't even create a single bouquet (empty screen in listing the categories) so i can't start EPG-import step yet !

and yet i was able to update my playlist - because i had a message "playlist updated" plus i can see the big data file /etc/enigma2/jediplaylists/playlist_all.json full of data…. i even submitted it to "JSON Validator" and it is validated from start to end

i put "m3u" as playlist type as well as "m3u_plus" … none is creating me any bouquet (was expecting at least one bouquet with all channels) !!!

I start recently the hobby about IPTV Reception (so still have a lot to learn) - I bought a ZgemmaH7s - flashed with latest e2's Pure2 image - I also subscribed to an IPTV provider -

Now I am tackling the EPG reception - I followed strictly the instructions of this post, downloaded & run the .py e2m3u2bouguet script with m3u-url & epg-url, generated the IPTV bouquets as well as the "e2m3u2bouquet" epg source that i found and selected in EPG-Importer

Now here is my problem : when i run the EPG-importer manually i got the below trace showing no error at all all but the execution lasts one second and i have no EPG imported

Anyone can advice please why nothing is imported ? wrong epg-importer ? wrong url ? missing some setting ? (Note that both xml files suls_iptv_e2m3u2bouquet.sources.xml and suls_iptv_e2m3u2bouquet_channels.xml are present /etc/epgimport )

I continued testing my installation… Fromm all what i started learning , it Looks like IPTV reception quality depends on so many factors : IPTV Provider - Location - Internet speed and type (Landline / Optical fiber) - LAN speed - Box type - Image … and with all these fixed i also see that the performance keeps depending on the selected channel…

I still maintain that in "my" above configuration (Rapid TV , 10 Mb landline - Openvpn - Lan Cable - ZgemmaH7s - Pure2) i am getting a much better performance than with Dm900

I am able to establish an openvpn connection with my vpn provider on Zgemma 7h / OpenTAV 6.1 - (this image is running openvpn r2.4.3 )

Using multiboot, i switched to image OpenPli 7.2 that i noticed is running openvpn r2.4.7 … using the SAME configuration and credentials, i have now a failure in openvpn recognizing the certificate

is there any known fix to this problem ?

alternatively can install the older openvpn r2.4.3 under openPli 7.2 ?

I just started testing the built-in multiboot capability of zgemma 7hS... I have openATV 6.1 that comes with the box and just installed OpenPLI 7.2 (uploaded openpli-7.2-release-h7-20200217_multiboot.zip from OpenPLI web site) on Startup 3. i spent hours trying to find a suitable oscam for this image … i tested about 10 versions with no luck… i am seldom hit with either

oscam: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    or...

oscam: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

is there any working oscam for this image

I am an newbie in IPTV business... I just bought a DM900UHD flashed with OpenPLI7.2Star, subscribed to a vpn provider (SurfShark) and installed an IPTV subscription. Everything is working well except that i have about only 60% of the reception working fine (like I watched a full movie yesterday with no interruption) . for the other 40% i have image freezes, slow motion and even no reception at all

Before i start blaming the speed of my ISP or the performance of the processor in my box, i am just wondering if there is any kind of IPTV player or reader or plugin or whatever accelerator that can speed-up the playing of the IPTV channels. i spent hours and hours reading the forums but fell lost in langage that changes depending on boxes, OS, images, plugins, ... (things like PVR client, Kodi, ...)

Anyhelp on where i should go from here is welcome - My objective is simple : "get a more stable reading/playing of my IPTV channels" - May be the box itself is not the most appropriate for IPTV ?

is this plugin suitable for Dreambox openPLi 7.2 Star ? I am trying desperately to install it and am hit with this message ?

    Code…

This is what i know more or less about adding hw components

    - Led light ON means the usb device is powered

    - It also might mean that the motherboard of the DM recognizes the device from a hardware standpoint (normally lsusb should tell )

    - now if you still don't see Wlan icon appearing in Blue panel / system / … / Network / Setting, it means that the system still couldn't find a driver suitable for the usb device (conversely most OS are able to automatically associate an appropriate driver to a connected device provided that the appropriate driver is installed or at reach in the cloud. That's what happened to me by getting an old usb stick working in the machine by simply plugging it)

Other point, I know you used DCC to install the driver - i personally prefer "apt-get / opkg install … " not knowing what the installer puts what and where !

Now, regarding your topic, in another forum i have been told that there is no driver available for rtl8192eu chipset for enigma2 install !

    Hope that helps you

very strange … no answer to this request…

i am a newbie in vpn setting and just subscribed to a service with SurfShark

    - I found easily how to set up a vpn client on my router

    - i downloaded modules from my vpn provider to install vpn on Windows 10 and a Linux Ubuntu server with no problem

    - i found easily openvpn plugin on NewNigma2 and installed it on my Dm8000/NN2 and also on a Dm900UHD/NN2

Now i switched to OpenPLI 7.2 but couldn't find any way, any plugin, any tool or any hint to get there !

Is there anyone with openPLI 7.2 who has managed to install a vpn client on his box ? Please help….

I just work to surfshark support… they told me to issue "opkg install openvpn" but that command fails in the Dm900hd / OpenPLI 7.2 i have here

I have a new Dm900UHD and just switched from newNigma2 to OpenPli 7.2.... I realized there is no openvpn plugin installed or proposed for this image. Can someone route me to the right place to get the plugin … i already set it up in NN2 image so i should be familiar with the setting procedure

    Good and bad news here

    - Good news … i managed to get the wireless

    - Bad news … not the subject usb stick (apparently no driver is available for ) but with an old stick i found in my cellar … "Ralink Technology Corp RT5370 wifi adapter" i bought many years ago no more than 3 or 4 euros

i just plugged it in the box and HOP… it works ! watching TV with it now
