However, if you want to change a file that is being used, an option is to put enigma to sleep with an init 4 command. ftp changed files and restart.

I got a reply on another site not to use it.
The reply you got on WOS wasnot to use TSpanel with Vix/or OPen Pli images. It interferes with the mounting process on said images. If it works fine for you, then that is good to hear. At some stage, the image will want to do something, but won't be able to because TSpanel has taken control and modified the system file. TSpanel will work fine, but the image won't do what it wants to. May not necessarily result in a crash. It is up to you what you want to prioritise.As already mentioned, the Addons Manager is fine with Vix and OpenPLI. http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=30475
Tspanel works fine using Blackhole images.

Once extracted, transfer the second "movie2kserien" folder into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/
Right click on it and then on properties/file attributes, change it to 755 for files and subfolders. -
Can you try the following:
Put enigma to sleep with an init 4 telnet command.
Navigate to the /etc/enigma2/ directory. Delete all the files with a .tv extension. Using Filezilla, you can sort by filetype.
Transfer attached Vhannibals list using Dreamset/Dreamboxedit
Reboot
Re-run AB 28.2 or ABM and report back. -
Shall I roll back to build 806 or pervious and see if that makes a difference over the next day or so?

Remove the previous version > Reboot Receiver, then try the attached file buddy..
Problem is that when you try to install it, it sees the other one on the server and downloads and installs it instead. -
You only get option to save to USB flash drive from feeds if it is in ext format.
In order of speed
Internal flash. (Most recent receivers have plenty)
USB flash drive
HDD (Disk will spin up on channel change unless it is already spinning)P.S You can save epg to HDD. It s not read constantly. Live epg data is stored in RAM.

On an official receiver they call the categories and channel lists "epg". On linux receivers, we call them channel lists, bouquets.
On Linux receivers, epg is the program guide. i.e what is going to be on.
The logos are called picons. Easiest way is to download them from feeds. Menu> Plugins > Green for download plugins > picons. Choose anyone that takes your fancy. Solos 2 has enough memory to put on internal flash, this is also fastest place. They will show automatically in the EPG and info bar.
To show picons on your service lists,
Menu > Setup > System > Channel Selection Settings > Show Picons in service list > Change this to yes. -

Yes. Use the username and password in the writeup of backup image.For info: regular Vix images, username is "root" and there is no password set.

I use the built in epg on the VIX image. Not all chanenls show epg, some do. I had to select the radio station and then open epg. Opening epg while in TV mode would not allow me to go to radio epg.
