Attached is an ipk for VIX users to test via the script method.

I am aware that VIX images report configs missing, but the config files do actually install to etc/tuxbox/config like you would expect, I have no idea why VIX dose this at this point, nor have much time to look at it.

As always, posts that simply say "it is not working" are useless.

Please post with debug logs, telnet logs and / or oscam logs.

Working for me, despite the warning message.

Anybody using Vix, please be aware that using softcam manager with a softcam with 16 characters or more in its name will cause multiple versions to start. This will eventually crash your box. Thanks to Aido for debugging this issue

Please use the script control method.

Rytec team do not include radio EPG. Enable the Freesat EPG reader, it will absorb the EPG from the signal stream. Slow speed on all channels. Fast speed on following transponder:

    • Freesat (28.2e) : Satellite: 28.2E, Transponder details: DVB-S, 11426 MHz, Horizontal, 27500 Symbols, FEC 2/3.

We have two threads about oscam icam. I am therefore closing this thread.

Please continue in the other thread:

can you make a correct channel list without repeating channels and have sky cinema action userbouqets sky uk?

If you use ABM, there is a mix file available

If you need to transfer an ipk to the box so you can install it, you need and FTP client. for example, Filezilla, winscp. Alternativley, you can enable samba on the box and your receiver will show up on your home network

Not quite the pictures we needed. On receiver, access the network menu, then the adapter settings. You don't need to obscure your lan IP address ( 192.168. xx. xx) it is only accessible on your home network. Vix does not show your WAN IP address.

On Putty, we would like to double check the settings you have used.

The ping failure (if you have entered correct IP address) is of concern. Once we confirm with your pictures, it will be a firewall issue or maybe your VPN settings stopping connectivity.

You are talking about two different things. For FTP, you must set a password. You cannot FTP without a password. For issuing commands, you can log in without a password if you have not set one. Once you set a password, you must log in with the password you set.

Post a picture of error you get on Putty, also post a picture of settings you have used to connect to it. Sometimes people forget to click on the Telnet option.

Set a password in the network menu, that should allow FTP access.

You might have a timer. As the service is in the lamedb, it will still zap to it.

Remove your 28.2 services and then "scan" with ABM again.

Up ( next to OK) > Green ( satellites) > Highlight 28.2 > Menu > Remove selected satellite > OK to confirm > Restart

    Then scan with ABM.
