Yes, make a backup first, just in case you want to use it again. Save your cam config files if you have not got them saved already.
Start with a clean image,
Configure tuners.
Don't add any "bling" like skins, "builds" etc.
Install a channel list from the plugin server of image, do not use your old channel list.
Test if motor moves.
If everything is OK, we know something was wrong with image
If you still have an issue with motor, then you will have to get it checked.
The reset positions does not seem to work with Enigma2 receivers on some motors. It works with receivers like TM 5402/1000. Nobody's looked at it as not easy to get into a failure state.

1. Do one thing at a time to avoid complications
2. Make backups before you try things
3. Look at last thing that changed before problem occurred.
4. Answer questions asked by knowledgable/experienced people and do not cloud issue with other details
As I understand it, the last thing that changed to cause the problem was the satellites.xml. I would flash a new image and start again without restoring previous settings. If the motor has been touched, then we are at at two variables.
One other question. Which motor controls system is in use? USALS (where you just enter co-ordinates) or Diseqc (where positions one by one)?

Double check you have not got one in etc/enigma2 too. If you do, delete it and then restart the box

They have issued several cards over the years. Most people just describe the colour and everybody knows what is being described.
You can use the white and red cards. The configs you use have minor differences. I don't know about the blue cards.
Yes, you can use a Sky card to view the FTV channels on Sky using an Enigma2 receiver.
Freesat channels are Free To Air and do not need a card.
What do you mean by "original"?
That LNB will only work with Sky Q. It might be possible to use a switch that accepts wideband LNBs then connect to other receivers. Not sure which work with Sky Q LNBs though.
That is a wideband LNB for Sky Q. You will need to change it.

Are you sure you are using a universal LNB and not a wideband LNB for Sky Q? If you are not sure, post a picture of your LNB
If you perform a complete scan of 28.2 using an updated XML file, you should have 890+ services if tuner/dish are OK.
If you are not getting that many, you will have to fault find.
My wetek is packed away somewhere, I am sure it coul receive Channel 4HD last time I used it about 2 years ago.
Are you sure dish is aligned correctly? Are you using an updated satellites.XML file for scanning?

OpenATVstill make images for the Twin. You will need to add a swap file as receiver doesn't have that much RAM.
loop out is not the same as demodulator. You will need different hardware to pipe things over RF.
