If i've understood he means that your oscam has the configuration in etc/tuxbox/config/oscam kitte while when he downloads freeservers oscar.server is put in /etc/tuxbox/config , so he has to copy from that dir to the folder "oscam kitte" , but has solved the problem tweaking the file "conv.sh" in the "freeserver" plugin folder as suggested.

I have FS 3.8.3 and downloaded the serviceinfo.pyc from the server , about 1 month ago, question did you update your openATV 7.4 to the update of 25/01/2024 yet and did that work?
after you install and it prompts you with an error just do a software update and if ur using openatv softcam feed it'll show the plugin freeserver to update, click ok and it will be installed

I have clean installed OpenATV 7.4 and install FreeServer and download file ServiceInfo.pyc and moved on user/lib/enigma2/python/Screens and not fixed. How update software and download again from feed? Greeting
the file serviceinfo.pyc has got an error in it after the latest openatv upgrade , so i cancelled it restarted and then did a software update that prompted the file from the feed , everything worked fine afterward

In don't think you have a special decoder just for yourself , you have been inundated with posts suggesting more or less the same procedure because that's the only one to recover your SF8008 4K UHD, now you ask if somebody has files from a quite old image (oATV 6.3 ) to give you, people using SF8008 keep updating it because this decoder is one of the best supported and think like I do that it isnt wise to stay with an old image, so will be very difficult for you to find what you're lookin for.
Display Moreboot to recovery menu and flash any new image to any free slot , now you can copy the files to your broken image

Because i have seen simillar treads I see no point to open a new one.
What if I can't boot to any menu:
--> clicking on the button "Standby" give no result: The box don't go in any modus for flashing:
Box is loading up to 100%: then image "Openatv 6.3" appear and then disapear - box go down to 50% for a second, than up to 100% again - and cicled without no end.
I able to go with DCC and show the tmp.log also do some command via telnet.
I have before backuped the box, but don't know how and where to put a command to activate "restoring modus" .
I not sure that also will work, because when receiver cicled, the connection with telnet sometimes is lost.
Any help will be nice, because I'm running out of time here.

If you have a Octagon SF8008 4K UHD , have you ever tried to change your obsolete image and upload a more recent one? Download it unzip and put the files on a 4gb usb pen then switch the device on while keeping pressed the red button on the Remote Control , after few seconds you will be prompted with a panel containing 4 slots , choose the nr 1 and install the new image , put the password ( it is compulsory in OATV newer images) in Menu/System/Network/Password and do your settings. I'm not sure if your OATV 6.3 backed up settings will work but it is only a matter of minutes to do it anew.
You'll find it after installing in Menu/Settings/Recording& timeshift to set..
If it can help....this problem ( missing green and blu icons) has only happened to me while the feed of openAtv was not active ( red traffic light) but with the latest correction update everything was back to normal.

I tried to install the plugin via filezilla by unzipping the ipk but on the OpenAtv 7.3 image I don't see it among the plugins while on Openpli everything is ok.... if it is installed you remove itI tried reading here but there are so many pages and I can't find the solution! Can anyone tell me if there is a particular way to install it correctly on OpenAtv 7.3?

First you need to check if the plugin and install...if it is installed you remove it
Menu-->red button-->extensions
we then execute the code above on telnet command:

I did as you said but although it seems to me that from dcc it removes and installs 8.3.8 I don't see it among the plugins and when I go to the plugins it writes to me:
- extensions/freeserver
No module named'Screens.ServiceInfo'
What can it be?
You should read few posts back to find the solution.
I give you a hint try what user Orbit Chaser writes at post #3361.....
Hall FreeServer 8.x.x no longer works on OpenAtv 7.3 because after installation it shows the plugin not available 😳
That's what you think , it works for me on OATV 7.3, OATV 7.4 devel and OBh 5.3, you should read posts in this thread and OATV thread.

You missed the point ...Your backup is of OpenATV 7.3....the user ishara was asking for a backup for DefineOS....that is completely different!

Error by Freeserver Plugin Browser 1 plugin is not available -Extensions/FreeServer No Module named Screens.ServiceInfo
You should give more infos about which image and version , and by the way if you read the posts of this thread you'll find the solution!

there are so many imports in there think that not being used only makes the image and the plugin slower, the plugin developer should delete old code that is no longer used
Of course he has to, that is just a workaround
