It happened to me as well on Octagon sf8008 had 181 packets to download, i did opkg update & opkg upgrade from telnet, rebooted and it stopped midway to 49 % but I could still connect to the box with telnet so I did again opkg upgrade and it downloaded other packets and all went smooth at the reboot.
Boot in OpenATV 7.4 ,put the usb stick with the backup in, go to Menu/Settings/Software Management/Flash on line , you should see now a list like this +Image Backups. +OpenATV 7.4 Beta,
+OpenATV 7.3 (Current) , OpenATV 7.2 (EOL) OpenATV 6.4 (EOL) , choose the Image backups and there should be your backup zip , it will ask you in which slot do you want install and choose it.

OpenAtv must be 7.3 or 7.4 to work with streamrelay , be sure you have "whitelist_streamrelay" in /etc/enigma2 ( if you don't ,search in this forum for the executable "streamrelay .sh" ) this will give you a list of german channels, if you like to add some more channels have to do it manually , open the channel list stay on the channel you want to watch and press menu >> "watch this channel with( or whitout) streamrelay", and it is added to the list.

The automatic update doesn't work for me on freeserver. I have openpli 8.3 and freeserver 8.3.8. I would also like to ask you if you know a way to automate the blue menu button, download some of file... freeccamserver (xx).
Nothing automatic until the servers are updated, so you have to do it manually searching for them on the web with google or hit the blue button on the freeserver 8.38 app and scan manually all the servers or.....you can have a look at this page that has the history of freeservers working the day before , you may get lucky and get few of them lasting 48 hours ( the ones with the green light are working) :-

Of course you have to compile the file CCcam.cfg manually and then convert it in oscam or ncam. It is a hard job!
I've never had problems with this string and it has always downnloaded me the right and last version of the softcam feed that i usually install on a clean image...

But doesn't the yellow button load servers that support Sky UK?🤔
Most of the free servers are also paid servers, in fact they give the chance to test their servers (24h-48h) for people to buy afterward if they're happy with the service, you can read that on their homepage. So I don't think they'll give away too much, the yellow or info button of the app just scan and collect these free tests around the web.
Afaik, there is no public version of oscam, that will work for 09CD

if you have paid for a service that doesnt give what you're looking for you have just to ask money back and anyway in this forum you arent allowed to discuss of paid servers.
It is not that easy to implement that, first of all with the latest OpenAtv image 7.4 and also 7.3 you need a usb drive for a swap file, the images are reduced to fit this box and therefore many languages only appear in the feed to download . The best is to switch to english for non german speakers , do all settings, cancel all unnecessary plugins and then download the own language from feed. I still have problems on this decoder when I restart it 'cause sometimes at the boot only coloured screen are showed and no boot at all. I know it's an old dec with a limitated processor and very few images now support it and i havent found a better image than openatv up to now.

I did what you said but unfortunately the freeserver plugin is not in the list of available extensions

My box is Dreambox 920 and I have Openpli image 12.2 version,I can install Freserver 8.3.8 without a problem and I even see the list but when I click on one of the countries the channels list is empty.I tried it with various images like Ts openimage,blackhole etc. but the result is the same.
Freeserver has got many features to which one do you refer, CCcam download or IPTV?
