    I noticed this error when downloading the EPG, I am on version 1.4.2, OE 2.0, image openATV 7.4-devel, STB Octagon SF8008 4K

    it continues downloading and forming the EPG though.

    <epgurl> in config.xml, will specifying the number of days like days=7 will do any difference? because the EPG shows for 2 days maximum after shutting down the dm900 or dmone, i have these receivers, they dissapear and i have to redownload again and it takes almost 3 hours because of the size of the plyalist witch is understandable, but why the EPG disapear i try to load the epg.db but it just doesn't show, in the log everything is working fine,


    using DreamOS with GP4.2

  • Changing Dreambox One for other for IPTV use

    I have Dreambox One and 920 and the old ones like 7025 and 500, I recently bought Octagon SF8008, the octagon is fast stable, and has many compatible images, for some reason I keep going back to dreambox, don't ask why, I almost mainly use it for IPTV, I even tried other IPTV boxes but nothing comes close to Dreambox or octagon witch are enigma2 based.


    if you want a strong device for IPTV that is android based, I would recommend NVIDIA SHIELD, as I own one and it is by far the best android box I ever owned, it has android TV as OS, regularly updated and maintained.


    as for the recording on the shield, I have not tested that and I don't know if there is a way to do it, but in Dreambox it does work, it's not reliable like recording via satellite but it works.

    Yes, the issue I face is in OE2.5-based image newnigma2 also tried with other OE2.5 based images but the result is the same, i am not saying that EPG is not displaying in OE2.5 based image, it does display but not for all channels as in openATV where almost all the channels epg are showing eventhough i use the same provider on both images, this is what i am trying to figure out.

    I did as you said when I re-imported again I got the error, while the EPG is still there, this is an issue with the image and EPG, fine, what I mean is why there are some EPG events not showing in some channels in OE2.5 image? I uploaded both logs from both OE image-based, and there was no error to trace where the issue is.

    Check all the same but WITHOUT using EPGImport on the plugin RE: [Plugin] E2m3u2bouquet , I myself have a DM900UHD and a VU+Ultimo4K ... There is no difference in the import of EPG events for the m3u IPTV providers I use ... e2m3u2b is self-contained and doesn't require any additional EPG import plugins. Works on any images based on any version of python, including images based on DreamOS


    I'm not entirely sure that EPGImport gives different results... I still can't see it from the log... I'll transfer all the work on importing EPG from e2m3u2b to this plugin in the near future.

    I use Jedi Maker Xtream to create the bouquets, I did download e2m3u2bouquet, but didn't try it, I will try it and see if I get any difference.

    I noticed when I import for IPTV on OE2.0 image that all the EPG show, but in OE2.5 a huge number of channels not showing the EPG although the import is successful in both images.


    OE2.0 image: openATV 7.2

    OE2.5 image: newnigma2

    Using the latest version 1.9.1

    Both images using the same source and channels

    Box used: DM900


    also in the logs there is small difference between the two, around 50 channels or so, but this is not the issue.

    1) Fixed "database malformed" for DreamOS-based images. This error almost always occurred if you set "Start import after loading" in the plugin settings. No more problems
    2) Fixed bug with event tuple dimensions. This error was displayed as "an integer ***** is required"

    so it is required to be run on every boot right?


    in cron if there is a possibility to set "@reboot" or in the crontab, as this will run the script on every boot.
