    1. Buy suitable DVB-S Tuner
    2. Open Case
    3. Lift out old Tuner (may have to remove screws from back panel on some versions)
    4. Fit new tuner
    5. Reassemble
    6. Connect LNB
    7. Start Box
    8. Menu-Setup-System Searching-Configure Tuner-DVB-S-Simple-Single Sat (for fixed dish) Positioner for Motorised
    9. For motorised only enter long & Lat
    10. OK out.
11 Rescan or load suitable channel list.
    12. Enjoy

I would recommend you run a base image in flash and install BA and then run images from HDD or USB. That way you can play to your hearts content without risk and are then also not limited by the memory size constraints of the internal flash memory. This is especially relevant if you intend to go to OE2 and install loads of plugins which believe me you will.

If, like mine, your SE has a thin black button on the back you need not worry about the no ca error anymore because you will always be able to boot to revovery and reflash from a web browser without the pain of having to find a null modem cable and the right version of Dreamup.

If you ever had to recover you can do so by just flashing a compatible image. i.e. you do not need to flash a bootloader separately. However, if you do not have the Mini Flashup button then it's a case of Null Modem Cable, Dreamup and a compatible base image for your bootloader coz trying to flash a full image would take forever using Dreamup.

The image via the link will be fine but again I'd run it from HDD or USB coz it will grow in size.

Finally, I'm a bit of a nutter so might not be a good example but I have run Ferari, Sim 2, BL you name it on my SE and never bricked it. Only time I ever saw no ca was when I got really cheeky and tried to flash a kosher image to it like the rebel than I am.

Lexusbox F90HD is a dedicated Nagravision cablebox for Cabo in S. America. If you get a DM you need to get the DVB-C tuner option or buy the Sunray tripple tuner version. Current E2 EMU's should be able to cope with your card but whether or not the internal reader will work or not is someting I can answer. Maybe someone else on the forum who has a Cabo card will know for sure. If not then worst case would be to use a compatible external reader because sadly the DM800 does not have a slot for a suitable CAM.

This assumes TV Cabo cards are not paired to their receivers of course.

I'd browse the Forum Sponsors web site and see what tickled my fancy and then do some background research in the forums about it to make sure it has good image and plugin support and most importantly that owners are happy with it.

    Greetings my friend.

In your search for assistance and information on the forum for 1channel & Tsmedia I believe you may have missed this thread HERE.

All has been discussed and a concise solution posted there.

Hope this has helped you in your quest.

    Good luck

I don't think the .py files for oe1.6 have been posted so people with oe1.6 stb's can attempt their own repairs. At least I have not seen them. My daughter's DM is on 1.6 and this fix does not apply as it is for oe2 and the files are not the same. Not sure if mfaraj will post these or not or perhaps mod the scripts to reference a sources file in etc as is now the case with the oe2 version for release in the next oe1.6 revision. Assuming there will be another oe1.6 release of course.

I looked again at this and normally a 25 pin port on a PC/Laptop is a parallel port for a printer and NOT a serial port at all. To be sure you should check your machine spec or post your make and model number to the thread.

My Plex Server streams from my NAS to my Duo2. It has been setup to share Movies, Music & Photo's but only Movies shows up on the Duo2's DreamPlex Menu offering. Does DreamPlex only do movies or am I missing something basic in my setup?

You can get a 15 - 9 pin reducer from Mapling.

Just hope that after you have gone to all the expense and trouble the box is actually recoverable.

Any Windows PC will do as long as it has a 9 pin com port and you can run dreamup on it. If your box is a clone then you need to find the correct version of dreamup for your bootloarder. Newer DM Clone's have a pin button on the back that you press at power on which recovers this error and allows one to flash a new image. Basically, the button does the hard work you would have to do using Dreamup & a cable for you.

I went from a DM800HD SE to a Duo2. It's like having a Ferrari after having plodded around in an old Ford Anglia. :snicker:

Go for the Duo2. Yes it is well worth the additional outlay.

Choice is yours of course but ask yourself why go from an antique to yet another antique? Also why not consider a Solo2 with dual tuner or a Gigablue Quad instead instead?

    Good luck

You should have received them in an email containing a section something like this:

    *** File Upload Details ***
    FTP Hostname: ftp.yourhostnam.webhostname.com or xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    FTP Username: eeyore
    FTP Passsword: blahblah

Files must be uploaded to 'public_html' folder.
If you can't or don't want to use FTP, you can access web based file manager from control panel to upload the files I mentioned previously.

Do a search for 000hosting on Youtoob and you will find loads of good tutorials on there.

Hi m8,no wiser how do I get ftp details, are these the two names 000webhost sent me.cheers

Hi ian,iam now a member of 000webhost have domain name and showing active,in your guide it says control panel click+add website cant find this .so at moment stuck,i know its me going wrong but don't know were.any help gladly accepted

If you already have an account you won't need to create a new website via control panel. It should already have been done for you. Get your FTP details and the just pop your .htaccess & proxy.php files into public_html via FTP and you should be good to go as long as you change the 1channel settings to point at your 000 address.

Sty Plus boxes update without worry also but the total cost of ownership is expensive.

I quite fancy the Media Art 7 Ultra at present but I am playing with the Ruby at present and so far it's OK but I guess, as a hardned E2 man, the transsition is not quite as easy. Pro's and con's on both system types.
