has anybody out there figured this out as I too am having the same problem, its not just from outside my network but also same error on LAN. I occasionally watch tv on my mobile when im away from home, the problem is i was doing it on the default ports and somebody else out there was watching my tv too!! so i closed the default ports and changed the transcoding port and opened it, i can stream no problems using the timote app on my mobile but for some reason it doesnt work on my laptop using openwebif and vlc. it seems very strange but maybe im missing something obvious?? and to make matters worse and more strange it doesnt work on my android tv box using timote app! works perfect on my mobile but not on the android box! same app and all same settings... strange!! would be great if someone shed some light on the situation as its doing my head in!!! im transcoding from a vu + duo2 running vix, thanks

ok if nobody else has had the same problem, how do yous go about streaming from outside your home network without somebody loging into your reciever and watching tv?? there probably selling the stream info and making money of it.

any body any idea what has happened in the movie/ series section in tsmedia, some of my addons have disappeared eg showbox. bit strange.

just wondering had the day finally come were I'm now legally insane! as I could of swore that the other day I spotted a new link in the tsmedia plugin under desktop named either app installer or addon installer and with the description 'kodi style addon similar to apps' something like that and when I clicked into it there was a whole new world waiting for me to explore so I said to myself I will do that tomorrow when i'v a bit more time and when I went back the next day it was nowhere to be found!! was so looking forward to seeing what I would find! so did I just dream it (weird yea but who knows!) or was it there??

ok for anybody like me looking to know how to do this i have figured it out, i just had a brain wave and decided to try something. so to find out your external ip and show it on your tv screen using your remote just simply create a file and name it check_ip.sh and write the command, External_IP: IP `wget -qO- http://ipecho.net/plain;echo`and ftp the file to usr/scripts then go to script manager via tspanel and press ok on the script check_ip and hey presto your external ip shown on your tv screen, great if your using a vpn like me and have it set to ramdomly pick a server and you want to know if the server is close to you for a faster responce time for streaming a movie etc.

Hi I'm looking to know is there a way to see the external ip of my reciever on the tv screen rather than using telnet on the laptop?? I'm using a vu duo 2 running the latest build of vix. Thanks

hi iv tried various ways to update to the latest version of tsmedia but it keeps failing, says md5sum mismatch, either the opkg or the package index are corrupt.... try opkg update. im on vix 3.2 build 20, never had issues before, any ideas?

OK silly me, because of the move I haven't had much time to watch TV and I had too many recordings and my disk was full so obviously you need a bit of free space for the transcoding to record and play back. Sorted now but thanks for the reply.

hi i had transcoding working well before i moved house, everything is the same except im now connected to my router with the wifi function on the duo2 rather than wired to the hub, would that be the reason that its not working?? do you need to be wired to the router for transcoding to work?? i have fibre broadband and my speeds here at the new house are actually faster than before so its not a speed issue. its all a bit strange as i cant see why it wont work any help appreciated thanks!!

are backdrops your pictures?? how do i view my pictures on dremplex plugin? or is it just for movies and music?? im using the plugin on vu duo 2 openvix. and i can access all my videos no prob but was wondering about pictures. when i go to backdrops it trys to render but comes up error: sh: mpeg2enc: not found

i have open airplay working on my vu duo2 running vix 3. but the video is upside down, how do i rotate it? im using a samsung galaxy s6 and using doubletwist air sync. as i say it works but the video is upside down, so not good!!

after playing about i figured out that i was recording on my mobile upside down, if i had of recorded with the phone turned the other way the videos i was trying to airsync would have played perfect! lesson learned but maybe somebody could add a screen rotation feature into the next update?? would be the bees knees then!!!

hi did you find a fix for this as im having the same problem! so annoying for such a great plugin not to function as it should.

ok after a bit of playing about iv figured out that i was recording upside down on my mobile (fine if your just going to view the videos on your mobile as you can rotate the screen but not so good when you want to airplay them to your tv via this plugin as it doesnt support screen rotation!) so maybe someone with the know how could add a screen rotation feature into the next update?????? would be awesome!! so for now on ill have to remember to record the right way up!!

CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000

and just writing

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60

both work for me but which is better to use??

also what is the benifit of writing lan server1 or wan server1 at the end??

they probably do do what you want. if you want a guaranteed solution do what i do and thats using an android mini pc. its a dongle pretty similar to the ones in your links. i have the timote app downloaded on it and i simply stream the channels to the second tv. simple to do and brilliant! you will however need full wifi signal in the room were the tv is or it will lag. i have a second router configured and connected to the main router via homeplugs and that gives me full signal in the other room and it streams brilliant. it also boost the signal for everything else too so worth doing.

ok so i thought id share incase anyone else has the same problem.. i got showbox working by deleting line 9 in default.py (usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/TSmedia/addons/movies/plugin.video.Showbox/default.py) i had the bright idea that if the sysyem wasnt told to import json then it might work without it and it sure did!

well not me i just watch globo, pfc, tv record and record news and just have them in my favourites bouquet and all the rest of the channels deleted on 30w

try making your own bouquets with the remote. press TV >> Menu >>Add bouquet
name the bouquet and repeat untill you have all the bouquets youd like. Then go to your all channels and select each channel individualy and put them into your created bouquets by highlighting the channel and pressing Menu >> Add service to bouquet
will take you a while this way but it would get the job done!

I had a search threw the for forum and found a command similar to that posted by yourself and it said python json installed is already up to date. I will try the command you gave above too just in case. The command I already tried was
Opkg update (enter)
Opkg install python json

well i entered the command and it did what it does but at the end it said the python json installed is already up to date. i tried showbox again on my duo and it still gives the same error log no module named json. anything else i can try to get it working?

hi im using a vu duo2 openvix hades and im having problems with ts media all of a sudden. everything was fine before but now the likes of showbox and movies xk arent working. now first thing i would think is that either the site is down or too busy or my isp has blocked them, however this is not the case. the first test i did was try tsmedia -- showbox on my zgemma star and it works fine connected to the same internet etc etc, also showbox works via kodi on my vuduo so definatly not blocked by isp. i tried uninstalling tsmedia and reinstalling and updating but still no joy. the log is as follows, any help appreciated as i preferr ts media over kodi. also when somethings broke or not right it annoys me because i know that there is a solution to everything!! log...

yea i have them two ports closed at the minute. i have opened two other ports and i want to use the for streaming remotly, iv got the transcoding one working but it only works when using vlc on my laptop. the app i use on my fone doesnt support transcoding or at least i cant get it to work and the like of the vu+ app has the streaming ports 8001/8002 set on the app and i dont think they can be changed. bit of a nusance, maby il just have to open them two default ports and change my dyndns address again and just wait til someone hacks in again and then change it again lol! i thought changing the default stream ports would be a more permanent solution rather than my own tempory solution. the thought of it all seems easy but its proving to be a pain in the ### lol, i will have a read now of that, thanks
