I have just purchased a ChromeCast Audio and I'm trying to assign it with a Static I.P, I am now sure this is not possible after posting on Google Cast Help Forum.
However I followed the instructions posted by a member shown below in Red.

I have a Chromecast Audio (CCA) which I use with a HH5 in which I have assigned a static IP Address.
Assuming your CCA is up and running, go to the "Advanced Settings" page of the Home Hub admin, then click "Home Network". This will show you all the devices (wired and wireless), connected to your router.
You should see your CCA there, together with the IP Address assigned to it.
Click the name of the CCA.
Type the IP address you want to use in the appropriate box, then click "yes", where it says "Always use this IP Address".
Click "Apply", and you should be good to go. If you look at the "Home Network" page now, it should show the CCA as having the IP Address that you want.

However when it comes to the "Type the I.P. address you want"
It wont let me......The only difference between the settings from the guy who posted the very helpful reply above and mine is he has DHCP Server enabled and I don't.
    Now here comes my question.
Would it mess my HH5 Router settings up i.e. port forward, static I.P's if I enabled DHCP temporarily to see if I can then input an I.P. of my choce.

Sorry for the long winded question.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that I'll give it a try, and let you know how I get on.

    Much appreciated.

Yes I did have Openwebif configured but it just says "Service Unavailable Now. Please try again in 3 seconds"

So why does Blackbox and VU+ Player work ?

    Cheers.

First of all.....I hope I'm posting in the correct section, if not, I apologize.

Here Goes, I have VU+ Player on my iPhone and VU+ PlayerHD, the thing is the HD one will not stream, it lets me do a screen capture but will not stream"
I have Blackbox installed and that works, so I'm at a loss as to why the VU+ PlayerHD app gives me the error message "Service Unavailable Now. Please try again in 3 seconds.
Oh by the way I'm running the latest VIX image.
Just out of interest what are other members using on their iPad's and iPhones.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply Stevejo, so are you saying the Home Hub 5 will be better suited to my needs ?
I'm not exactly sure what VDSL means, I have Googled it but it's as clear as mud....So are you saying I can't use my Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H with the new BT Infinity 2 Fibre Broadband.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my late one.

I'm just about to cut over from BT Broadband Option 3 to Unlimited BT Infinity 2 Fibre Broadband, they sent me the Home Hub 5 but I'm more than happy using my Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H running custom DD-WRT firmware set up just how I like it, I asked the guy at
BT and he said my Modem/Router is compatible with BT Infinity 2 Fibre Broadband.......I didn't like to ask too many questions with regards to CS so I just left it at that.
My question to any other members who are using BT Infinity 2 Fibre Broadband with a non BT Modem/Router......Will it just work without any tweaking.
What I mean is will I get home from work on Tuesday and have lightning Broadband without me having to adjust anything in the Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H Modem/Router.

    Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to send the signal from my VU Solo 2 to a 2nd TV in the bedroom ?
Just like S*y using the RF Out ?
    What are my best/easiest options.

    Thanks.

I was thinking about getting a Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H Modem/Router and flashing it with DD-WRT or OpenWRT firmware........So I was wondering if any other member can vouch for either of these 2 firmwares, and will all the functions work i.e. portforwarding, my Dyndns account and any other functions associated with the obvious.

    Thanks in advance.

Has anyone any experience of DD-WRT or OpenWRT firmware ?

    Thank you.

Just acquired a new router from my son, It's a Belkin Max N600 HD......To replace my Belkin F5D7633-4......125mb up to 300mb)
Anyway I have managed to get everything sorted except a couple of programs, Binreader and NZBVortex.....I get the message..."Cannot connect to server"
I use the ports shown below in the picture.......I'm wondering if I need to activate something in the router settings.......Thanks as always.
