So by default It's turned off on the VU Duo...Yes ?
And if I had done the above it would be visible on the network ?
    What about the OpenMebif/Webinterface ?

    I think I might try OpenVIX 3.0 - 521 VU+ Duo Backup By musogeek
one more time.......Unless there is a newer one.

I really do like the VIX images....And would prefer to stick to an image I'm comfortable with.

    I did try this.

right click on Finder on yer Mac, connect to server, type this in the address bar where it sais Server Address:
    smb://vuduo

But it failed to show anything.

So how come It's instantly visible with VIX 2.1

When you had ViX 3.0 808 installed did you check if samba was running buddy?

Oops.....I can hear the words "Schoolboy Error" ringing in my ears.........What is "Samba" and how would I have checked it ?
I'm guessing its not a Latin American dance.

I'm going to reference this post first, just for a bit of background.

Anyway.....I upgraded my VU Duo to the Latest VIX 3.0 808...Could I hell get it set up right....My VU Duo is visible on my Network...With VIX 2.1..With VIX 3.0 808...It was
not visible at all (this was with a clean install) I also tried this back up image OpenVIX 3.0 - 521 VU+ Duo Backup By musogeek and did the on-line updates....Still not visible on my network.
I also struggled to get OpenWebif to work....I have no bother with Webinterface on VIX 2.1..........So I ended up putting VIX 2.1 back on the box, I just could not get it exactly as I wanted it with
OpenWebinterface and the VU Duo not showing on my network on the iMac.

I know I need to upgrade to a newer image but I'm not prepared to put a newer image on that offers me less than what I had...

On to my question....Can anyone recommend a back up image that is as user friendly as VIX 2.1 with webinterface and visibility on my network...I'm not tied to any one image...All I would like is an image that does
exactly what the old one does, but obviously newer, I would also like to try Fraggles S*y skin if possible.

    Many thanks.

Just flashed my VU Duo with this image, and updated it to 808......Thanks musogeek........I have also installed VIX-Night-HD skin....All working well except for....Webinterface and
Well I'm struggling to explain this....When I zap a channel using the OK key on the remote it used to tell me who I got the share off and what Hop it was.....Now with this image it's not
    displaying it.....Any ideas ?

    Many thanks.

I have just acquired a Netgear WN3000RP Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender to extend my WI-FI to the rear of the house (no signal) I'm using a Belkin F5D7633 Router obviously set up with a static IP address using a DynDNS account.....The thing is I cant for the life of me get the Wi-Fi Range Extender to connect to the router, I have tried setting the Wireless Bridge option in the router and assigning the Wi-Fi Range Extender a static IP....It sees the extender but will not connect......I have successfully connected it to my sons router (he has a dynamic IP setup) but I have failed miserably to connect to my static IP.
I hope there's a Network expert who can advise me on this matter.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm after a Viaccess Cam to fit in my VU Duo to allow me to activate my new JSC Card (if I do renew)
I know there is a option available using CCcam/Oscam combination, but I thought if I just got a Viaccess Cam to fit in the receiver all would be okay.

I have seen quite a few Viaccess Cams available, and just wondered if any members were currently using a Viaccess Cam JSC Card combo that they can vouch for.

    Thanks....As always.

My JSC subscription expires at the end of the month and with me only getting JSC 1 - 4 on 13 east I'm in the market for a new viewing card to run in my VU Duo + using CCcam 2.1.4.
Can any members recommend a replacement ?
I was looking at BIS TV France Panorama Card 12 Months Viaccess Card......But I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

My Picons currently reside on my USB stick in the back of my VU Duo, I'm wanting to update them (about 1000) I have been using FTP but it's really slow (30 minutes for 130)
Can I just unplug the USB stick from the VU Duo and plug it into my mac and drag and drop them onto it ? without damaging anything.

    Thank you.

    Thanks......Musogeek, I'll give it a try.

Tried it....Just the same, it appears to be channels on
    10845 H
    tp A7
    DVB-S2
    8PSK
    SR 30000
    FEC 3/5

Most of the channels are "Greyed" out in the "Digital Alb" Bouquet......Any ideas ?
Any ideas, how to scan and save this transponder ?

    Thank you.

Hope I'm in the right section.....Mods please remove if not....Thanks.

I have just transferred a new channel list across to my VU Duo (Catseyes)
And I'm having problems clearing some channels on 16.0 East, all the Tring channels are okay, its
just the Supersport ones to mention a few.....The thing is I'm sure I have come across this in the past (memory fails me) correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t 16.0 east not used to be 15.8 east and I'm sure I used to use that with success in picking up the Supersport package....Now the thing is I can’t find a channel list with 15.8 listed....Could that be my problem ?

    Thanks in advance
