Was wondering if anyone has done the OTA update yet on the Wetek core and what do you think of it
I have done it and don't like the layout.

For me it's motorised all the way

I think you can only use one box to move the dish, anybody confirm this

Are you trying to move the dish with both boxes?

Do these still work,thought the support ended years ago. Mine is in the attic.

If you are on less than 022, best to use image manager to download image , flash it using Image manager. after reboot, restore settings and plugins. Image manager creates a settings backup as part of the flashing process.

The Solo4k and Mutant HD51 users, should create a settings backup, flash latest image by USB, restore the settings/plugins afterwards.

If you tried to perform an online update from 4.2 021 or older and receiver i snot booting, it has not bricked. You just need to flash image. The online update process would have created a settings backup. Flash the latest image using USB and restore the settings/plugins.

It is inconvenient. Sorry.

The issue was caused by a change in busybox. once you have gone past it with no problems, i.e on 022 or higher, performing an update to 023+ should be fine.

That is the theory anyway, so if there is a further problem, it needs to be identified and addressed if possible.

Last night the flashing green light was on the solo4k so I did an online update which didn't work, the box just stuck on starting. Now tonight I had the flashing light on the solo2 telling me there was an update which downloaded and again the box just hangs there. On both boxes they were on openvix 4.2 021 at least if not 022.

I was on 4.2 022 and the online update has left 2 receivers hanging.

Switched on my solo 4K and noticed there was a software update so decided to upgrade, and
get the usual message upgrade in progress, wait until the box reboots but that was about 50
minutes ago,has anyone else got this, still black screen.

why is the latest vix image for the vu solo still at 3.2 037

Thanks robo but I've tried the above method a few times but the image isn't loading
use in a Kingston stick which I've used successfully many times before but will try
another stick and see how that goes.

What is the procedure for flashing a vu solo with the latest vix image. I know it takes a lot longer
but do you have to press any button as is the case with other vu models.I tried last night and put
the USB into the slot and switched on, the red light came on and after a minute or so it turned green
and was still flashing 2 hours later so I aborted the attemp.Thanks in advance.

Yes jensen there were 7 files in the solo 4k folder but i was thinking there was one
that shouldn't be there. If there were files present then why did they not
transfer to a stick. Oh yes when i sent the folder to the stick i kept getting a question
which now i can't remember what it said but will have another go in the morning and get
back to you.

Hi codar, it has happened with the solo 4k and the solo 2 and I've tried a few sticks.

I've tried downloading the latest open vix image and when I put it on a stick there is nothing in the folder, anyone any idea why.?

Yes McKee I've tried the battery out of my daughters and it's still red but blue in hers.
The keyboard is not old only around 3 months and not really used much. It came with the Wetek
core I got from the board sponcers

I've been useing a sumvision micro wireless keyboard and when switching it on a blue light used to come on but now it's a red light that comes on,anyone know how to get it back to the blue one.
