  • Installed Mgcamd Plugin on Enigma2. Errrrm..

    Not sure on that box mate but with Enigma2 images using MgCamd you will need to convert your line and put in newcamd.list


    as follows


    CWS = your.ipaddress.blah 12345 User Pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14


    save this as newcamd.list in notepad +


    ftp this to usr/keys on your box


    You may want to look for another image PREFERABLY one from :firework: that may help the issue! :10lol:


    But for MgCamd on Engima2 this is how you enter the line!

    You have 2 options for your box!


    Install a Fresh Image
    BY fresh i mean just the branded image....no plugins, cams e.t.c (ideal to start with and add what you like if your confident in doing so)
    Fresh Image will give you Setup Wizard (but no plugins, cams, epg or channel lists....all this you will have to add yourself, easy enough with help on hand)


    Install a backup image
    Guys on the Forum create backup images - Images preinstalled with goodies so the USER can just download and flash to there box with minimal setup!
    Backup Image will setup box based on backup image (all you should have to do is add your line and perhaps adjust TV settings)

    Most add screenshots of how things look so pick an image and start from there!


    Unlike a PC lol.....they flash pretty quickly so if you don't like one type of image you can change in a FLASH lol to another one!


    Most recommend Vix for New Starters, and you won't go wrong with that to start

    Or just flash a great backup from our backup section with all the bits you need


    Failing that if you Install a clean basic image the setup wizard will run you through most described!


    once wizard complete > install channel list > Install Cams > add lines > setup EPG > watch TV

    Do you have a little board with to 9pin connectors either side?


    Do you have V1 or V2 stickers on it or download software from www.vu****.tv


    What you have explained seems to be an issue with the Non-Originals mate and unfortunately not much help can be offered here if it is

    Why not give it a try yourself mate! We all started somewhere! (and it seems solo is a dying breed among the peeps who backup lol)


    We will assist if any help needed and im sure people will give you props for posting!


    Install the Image


    Grab Plugins from BH Plugin Panel and/or Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall


    either ftp *.ipk file to /tmp on box > then from Menu Manual Install local extensions....


    or if plugin is in folder format copy folder to location /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions on your box > Reboot and plugin should be available


    Use ftp program like filezilla connect using IP of Box, User, Pass and Port No and transfer files/folders to your required location!


    When your happy with the image and all plugins (you could even ask nicely for a special bootlogo)


    You can do a backup and add it to the solo backup images!


    REMOVE ANY LINES either cccam.cfg or newcamd.list in /etc or /usr keys respectively that hold your details!


    I normally get image running, Install Plugins and Lists e.t.c...do backup then add my lines to use up to you just make sure you remove any personal data


    Simples!

    These configs should sort it out buddy! (using a server with smargo reader) so just change/add what you need for your setup in oscam.server file

    Ensure au for .server file and au for user account are the same (same format) e.g slyuk for both in this example

    TSPanel and New Vix = Computer Says No! and HDD disappears lol!


    Make use of the Ipks on the forum and Manual Install or use the Image Plugins Panel = SIMPLES

    You can use and its advised to use/change any ports that are entered by default on the scripts/examples! so Yes You Can in my Obama Voice!


    Just ensure the Ports you change.....you open them in your router if req......and obviously change all of your configs to reflect new ports
