Are you putting image and folders on USB correctly?
on a USB formatted to fat32
folder vuplus
within that a folder called solo2
Within that a number of files?

Have you got a channel list installed mate, (catseye, sgtflipflop) for example and only one?
Have you setup crossepg to download to you HDD or USB depending on your preference?
With channel list installed and Crossepg configured all should be ok?
What Image are you using? Vix has its own epg installed for example? so i hope you havent added/installed crossepg on top?

I would assume its a clone buddy!
Something happened a little while a go and a lot of users had problems with older CLONED/HACKED images! You seem to be seeing the same thing!

Yep easy as plug in and go....kinda lol
Make sure your using a drive with nothing on and formatted fat32 (although box can do this)
Plugin and from Menu go to settings and look for Mount or Intialize (Intialize will format it) depending on image (vix automounts i believe)
select your HDD from list that shows up...it should detect it and job done
Fie structure should be made on HDD and this will now be used as HDD for receiver!

Be careful buddy! The issue is the CLONeD/HACKED image!!! When something is taken and hacked/modified it becomes unstable and open to issues!
your problem is the Box being a CLONE 1st and foremost and the Version of the image being used after that!!

Yes it is buddy
Not sure if there is any difference in speed/access....you may find the HDD via USB a bit quicker as the HDD inside may go into a sleep mode when not in use!
Either way Yes you can....just set it up in your Menu Settings for you image (mount)

If you cant get it sorted using Ten method
from terminal
TYPE > cd /tmp
TYPE > ls (look for the ipk you sent it should come up in list)
If it does then rerun the command
ipkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg_0.6.2-svn-305-r0_mipsel.ipkJust ensure it is typed letter for letter and file name is the same and it should work
added - if nothing to install i doubt it is there buddy - try copying/ftp to the directory again

make sure its in /tmp directory and double check for typo errors! (just noticed / tmp in G command above lol)
ipkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg_0.6.2-svn-305-r0_mipsel.ipk

then install local extensions from menu > setup

can you point me to right direction for clone duo, ive tried to install a few but they all seem to bring a black screen at startup and not do anything, doing my head in

for Flashing....the Duo that is lol follow steps above an the link to that video....same as described with your USB stick!
Have a look at MusoGeeks backup image mate...im sure it will be more then enough to get you started.....you can add and delete andything you dont want and change bootlogos if you want to change the XMAS look lol!

Yeah you should be ok mate if your flashing a image anyways!
You sure it just wasnt in the process of flashing? takes a couple/three mins!
If not switch off double check USB and try again buddy!

I would personally have a look at the Vix image 1st! - Much of the time its only a case of a couple of mins to flash and a bit of time to setup so trying images is no major hardship!
Vix is nice, Clean and Easy to Use.....perfect for those in doors lol and not to out there for the simplest of minds to understand lol

Have a look at my backup images in the link above, it is for solo2 but the image look the same!
There are plenty of screen shots in there of various images to give you a little taste but start with Vix....test it with the Mrs then go from there!Any problems just shout buddy!

It will show a number of options depending on where you are in image
on a Channel then Channel will be shown
On a Menu selection then that will be shown
Watching a movie then time elapsed....remaining will be shown
Not sure whats wrong your end though buddy!
You could try reflashing image....backup your settings and see if this solves it! Could just be a Gremlin! lol

Wow that is an old image lol!
Bare in mind and someone may clear it up you may have problems using the settings backup for this image on a newer BH version BUT
eitherway i little playing should get you sorted!
1st and foremost make a NOTE of all lines.....copy them over to you computer or write them down!
mgcamd cam will be a file called newcamd.list located in usr/keys
cccam cam will be a file called Cccam.cfg located in /etc on DuoThese will be the most important bits of info....anything else (plugin wise e.t.c) can be re-installed!
With above done, look for settings backup from within BlackHole menu! (not sure dont use image lol)
Run the backup and store file to location of you choice > when done copy this backup to your computer!
Then run the Flash of New Image as instructed above!
When that has been completed > add backup to USB and from within Black Hole menu look for 'Restore from backup or something'
It will tell you any errors but hopefully it should restore your settings and a reboot should have you back online!
FAILING THAT lol
With your lines saved/noted down
Install image as per above.....then from within the Plugins menu of blackhole you should be able to download most of you what you want
Add to the mix TSPANEL and all plugins, Cams e.t.c should be there for you to install!
When Cams are installed ftp your lines to the relevent positions (as above) and reboot box and your lines/cams should become active!
Lot to take in but follow it all step by step.....any Menu options that are not listed just look for similar (havent touched BH for a bit) and post anything your uunsure off!

Not sure how it will effect the guide itself mate!
But from the Bouquets Menu you should be able to highlight Adult....Press Menu on Remote and another menu should appear!
From there you can delete the select bouquet group
That will remove it from the list so it wont be seen
