Choice is yours bud, but unless someone else can shed light im at a loss?

Just on the subject of Tax dodging.....Google Losses past 3 years don't make me laugh!....like i said one of many!

How much longer can Google escape the UK tax system?

Every year when Google files its documents with Companies House, a fresh wave of
outrage follows at the small size of its tax bill.

The UK is Google's second largest market, with $4bn in sales coming via UK customers
last year according to US filings. However, Google UK posted only £395m in revenue
and paid £6m in UK taxes in 2011.

In a completely legal tax structure, if you buy an ad from Google, the contract isn't
with the UK office, but with Google Ireland - which has a corporation tax rate of 12.5%
compared to the UK's, which recently fell to 24%.

That means Google UK posts a relatively small profit, and often a loss, keeping its tax bill down.
Google UK has failed to post any profit in the past three years, losing £24m in 2011, £27m in
2010 and £9.7m in 2009. In 2011, its tax bill was less than £1m, and in 2009 it was £2.9m

With heavy public sector cuts and outrage over tax avoidance schemes, Google's skimpy tax bill is
starting to grate. MPs are demanding answers and an online petition has gained more than 46,000 signatures.

John Mann MP, a member of the Treasury Select Committee, said it was likely a Google executive would be
called before MPs, and told The Independent: "Whether it is illegal or immoral, the British taxpayer loses out."

    Google's tax structure
Tax campaigner Richard Murphy points out that Google pays "pretty much the full tax rate that you'd expect"
in its home country. "Outside the US, Google pays almost no tax," he said. "We’re talking single digits and
low single digits most of the time, over the last several years."

There are two ways Google does this. First, non-US sales are predominately routed via Ireland, which has a
lower tax rate and an "extremely relaxed" approach to taxation, Murphy explained. Second, its IP is held in
Bermuda and licensed to other Google arms - meaning more money is pumped into the tax haven.
"It’s no doubt that what Google is doing is legal," Murphy noted. "Those who are arguing against this are
saying that for a company that says 'don’t be evil' - and therefore implicitly recognises from the outset
that it has moral choices to make in the way it conducts its business - in this case it's got this
    moral choice wrong.”

    What can be done?
In theory, negative public sentiment could push Google to alter its tax structure, said Murphy. "Sentiment is
clearly moving on this issue. Tax avoidance was once seen as smart. For a company completely dependent on
consumer goodwill, it is a major issue," he said. "If they were a chip manufacturer that nobody has ever
heard of, this would have no impact at all."

Surfthechannel owner sentenced to four years over piracy

Anton Vickerman, whose surfthechannel.com had 400,000 users a day, sentenced on two counts of conspiracy to defraud

A 38-year-old Briton who made £35,000 a month through a website that linked to pirated copies
of films and TV shows has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Anton Vickerman, whose surfthechannel.com website had around 400,000 users a day, was convicted
of two counts of conspiracy to defraud in June following an eight-week trial at Newcastle crown court.

He is the first British man to be jailed in the UK for a website that linked to illegal copies of films and TV shows.

Vickerman, from Gateshead, set up the website in 2007 as an index of online videos – both legal and
illegal – hosted elsewhere on the internet. Prosecutors said Vickerman made £250,000 in profit through
adverts on the site in 2008, the year in which he tried to sell it for £400,000.

He was not charged on copyright offences, but was convicted on two counts of conspiracy to facilitate
copyright infringement following a private prosecution pursued by the anti-piracy lobby group Federation
Against Copyright Theft (FACT). He faced a maximum sentence of 10 years.

Vickerman was first arrested over Surfthechannel in 2008 following an elaborate sting operation by a
private investigator hired by FACT, the court heard during the trial.

The private investigator posed as a prospective house buyer and filmed computer equipment in Vickerman's
home. Other private eyes had already obtained detailed information about his bank accounts, cars and telephone
records, the court was told. His wife, Kelly Vickerman, was also arrested and cleared in June of charges of conspiracy to defraud.

Entertainment groups immediately heralded the jail term as a warning to those behind websites
that could direct people to illicit content online.

"This case conclusively shows that running a website that deliberately sets out to direct users to illegal
copies of films and TV shows will result in a criminal conviction and a long jail sentence," said Kieron Sharp,
director general of FACT, one of the bodies behind the prosecution.

He said that unlike other search engines such as Google and Microsoft's Bing – which have been criticised for
pointing people to pirated material – surfthechannel.com "was created specifically to make money from criminal activity".

However, critics of the private prosecution described the jail term as "deeply concerning, inappropriate and
    disproportionate".

Loz Kaye, leader of the Pirate Party UK, said the prosecution should never have been brought and was driven by private interests.

David Walbank, for the defence, told Newcastle crown court on Tuesday that Vickerman was now financially ruined
and would likely be declared bankrupt. The court heard that the stress of the conviction had also caused the breakup of Vickerman's marriage.

It is unclear whether the verdict will have any effect on appeals being made by the family of Richard O'Dwyer,
a 22-year-old Sheffield student, whose TVshack.net site was closed down in November 2010 after it linked to places
where people could watch US TV and movies online. O'Dwyer faces extradition to the US, where he could face 10 years
in jail. Prosecutors in the UK have not charged O'Dwyer, whose site had about 300,000 users per month and
collected £147,000 in advertising revenue over three years.

Bit that makes me laugh is that Private Investigators and Eyes lol seemed to have the free for all to obtain and look for what evidence or so called evidence they wanted!

So evidence was brought to court from a Paid source???? Also they seem to have better investigative techniques then the POLICE or better at it anyway!

    :firework:

    Now your pulling my leg!

The original problem bearing in mind your server is up and running and sharing and the only problem is the crontab that kills and restarts oscam?????

    59 03 * * * root /usr/local/bin/oscam -b

This line here is the problem......its not starting Oscam because there is no Oscam file in this location? or not that was on the image you showed? You have Oscam1 and everything other Oscam apart from Oscam or Oscam.x86?

change the location to the oscam file to emu/oscam/oscam -b

And test to see if that works....e.g change time to 30 14 and see if it closes and restarts at 14:30 ok? if it has your problem solved and onto the next of which im sure there will be many lol!

Change the oscam kill all line time to 25 14 so it kills oscam before hand!

Its all about trying and testing mate....then come back and say i've tried this and it didn't work....not just here's my files mate what's wrong!

Psst XS09 wanna know a secret?

Post an Intro and someone may be inclined to help! We wouldn't want to help Strangers now would we!

So now your jumping onto another issue/topic!

Seamouse lets try and get this issue sorted first......i doubt it would be an Oscam Verison problem anyway!

Check /emu or /emu/oscam is there an Oscam file present there?

I think your script is looking to open oscam from a location where it doesn't exist!

Lets conquer one problem before trying to do something else as all the mixup/files e.t.c doesn't help!

And as much as it would be best to sort this issue....why not restart it manually...when up earlier or up late one night! Just a thought if we cant get this sorted!

Got a hec of a lot of files e.t.c in there bro! may want to look at cleaning those out e.t.c

see my setup has everything in /emu/oscam

    my script calls /emu/oscam/oscam.x86

    and it works fine?

You don't seem to have Oscam.x86 in that location??

Don't want to start misleading you though? Different Setup's mean different things!

    Seamouse,

Keep everything Oscam Script or Crontab releated in this post buddy, the other Thread was for Oscam Latest Files!

I would try this, you say that Oscam isn't present in /usr/local/bin ???

if not then try changing this line

    59 03 * * * root /usr/local/bin/oscam -b

    to

    59 03 * * * root /emu/oscam/oscam -b

Give that a go....perhaps set time for next hour and see if it works!

I don't like getting into things without having the complete understanding of everything but that seemed to stand out?

    Budd,

Would depend on box i suppose!

Just bear in mind the following

    Format USB in Fat32
Ensure cccam.cfg file is opened/edited and saved in a program like Notepad ++ (normal notepad will not save it the right way) save as cccam.cfg

Then you need to either look for 'update by usb' option (openbox) and select file off USB or if the box (Vu) has a file explorer you could copy cccam.cfg file from USB to /etc folder on box!

Or you could use something like DCC to connect to your box and FTP cccam.cfg to the correct place! for Enigma2 boxes really Vu Technomate (openbox wont work for this method)

depends what type of Rap though tooth...admittedly the 'Ive got this much money' Yawn and B&^$hes and Hoes stuff Sad is pathetic,

however someone Rap/Hip Hop Artists could be thought of as modern day poets and talk/rap on and about sensible issues!

    IMO
