now i have posted about a issule of my oscam each morning rebooting but not restarting, we know kill and ocam -b works
i removed the kill and reboot from the cronjob last night and this morning, everything was ok, i mean no lock up
what is the best way to try and reinstall it?
save all my cong server user files ect?
as i tried for the whole of monday to sort out the thing and got no where

in easiest terms (a la GeorgeXL)
To upgrade or downgrade oscam manualy,
you go to /usr/bin/ where you have the oscam bin file,
and replace the existing bin with which version you want.
Remember to give attribute 755 and restart it.
And just to add make a backup of old oscam file just in case!
just gone to usr/bin/ and i dont have a fiel called oscam at all????? i have oscam running lol somehow but got isules with it checking for updates in the morning so want to replace update or restall it?
something tell me....and your problems tell me that your oscam is in a different place?
This may have been the cause of Oscam not starting on your Crontab?
look in emu/oscam i wonder if its there?
correct, emu/oscam/ has one file, called oscam
should i moved? or try and solve this one
i think.....if you move it, it may fook up!
Try renaming the folder list in crontabs to show the correct path.....i think that's why it wasn't restarting when killed!

1st check that the folder format for crontab to start Oscam is the same?
The problem is obviously with one of those commands!

we proved that kill kills oscam and oscam -b brings it back ok, now after following the post

i added
01 04 * * * root /var/local/bin/oscam_update.sh ,well made it 11 04 * * * root /var/local/bin/oscam_update.sh to give it 10 mins to set its self. there is a folder and that file there.
so where would i change edits to check emu folder? i still think its the other script thats doing the problem after it reboots, as manually its ok

I would try this, you say that Oscam isn't present in /usr/local/bin ???
if not then try changing this line

Give that a go....perhaps set time for next hour and see if it works!
I don't like getting into things without having the complete understanding of everything but that seemed to stand out?
usr/local/bin has dam loads of files,
no oscam update or check or i think is called a binary file?
Got a hec of a lot of files e.t.c in there bro! may want to look at cleaning those out e.t.c
see my setup has everything in /emu/oscam
my script calls /emu/oscam/oscam.x86
and it works fine?
You don't seem to have Oscam.x86 in that location??
Don't want to start misleading you though? Different Setup's mean different things!

i got no problems if you wanna try and ftp to a look, as the oscam works, channels are ok, just this reboot thing
my oscam update is in /var/local/bin
you know what i cant find that file anywhere
ok downloaded oscam collection and in there is 7255, i`m on 7209
but there is no guide where to put the files?

Seamouse lets try and get this issue sorted first......i doubt it would be an Oscam Verison problem anyway!
Check /emu or /emu/oscam is there an Oscam file present there?
I think your script is looking to open oscam from a location where it doesn't exist!
Lets conquer one problem before trying to do something else as all the mixup/files e.t.c doesn't help!
And as much as it would be best to sort this issue....why not restart it manually...when up earlier or up late one night! Just a thought if we cant get this sorted!
emu has 4 folders :
cccam
log
oscam
script
in emu/oscam is a file called oscam 900k?
so without being blunt bro!

Its all about trying and testing mate....then come back and say i've tried this and it didn't work....not just here's my files mate what's wrong!

m8, your auto-install is messed up. It looks like your folder structures do not match up with your scripts & crontab, etc. Id back up all oscam & cccam configs and start from scratch with an auto cccam/oscam install. You might sort this problem only to find more broken links in scripts and settings..
