Have you tried entering line manually in box?
if your using Cccam for F3 try entering line in Mgcamd then edit the newcamd.list entering your Host, Port, User and Password there!
Restart the box and see if it connects ok?

You got to be in it to win it!
Sorry mate,
Not to sure i think the closest thing will be installing TSPANEL and downloading latest Channel Lists from there when they are updated/become available!
Take a look in posts below bud, more then enough to play with there
Either edit satellites.xml or use DreamBoxEditor....all explained within
http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…rt/17196-chanel-edit.html
Hi SuperSat,
I think the General Conscientious at the Moment is VU Rule lol!
Good Build Quality, Good Hardware and loads of add-ons, images and support to go with....all found on the forum!
The Uno will give you Internal HDD option and the Duo will give you both that and dual tuners so you can record one and watch the other! so maybe worth a look?
I haven't used DM boxes yet as the Vu seem to be more than up to the job so no need yet lol!
Picture Quality on Vu range is Excellent, not sure if anything out there is better?
Remote Response is Good, obviously loading times and starting plugins aside but flicking between channels e.t.c good enough!
Don't really see problems with Tuner Sensitivity but i only use a fixed dish, and the speed of the box like above more than acceptable!
Have Fun choosing but you won't regret trying out Vu (and like a German Car hold there price well if you ever thought of selling it lol)
Damn Smargos lol we have seen a similar problem with another User this week lol!
Look through this post below everything should be covered in there
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…ant-get-smartgo-seen.html
Just check Card in correct way round
Firmware of Smargo
Conifgs are setup correctly
To start with but everything should be covered in that post!
I think the User resolved a similar issue with updating firmware version! so after checking Card correct way round lol may want to start there!
All discussed in post, come back if any problems!
From my recollection i think i just installed the combined files and ditched Cccam (didnt use or connect to e.t.c) i think its still present on server lol!
Failing that tut below should get you sorted! if you get stuck give us a shout!
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…mpiling-oscam-debian.html
some further files you may wish to look at
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…s-smargo-omnikey-etc.html - Oscam Settings for Smargo e.t.c
When Oscam is installed you can use the configs you have obtained and edit them to you liking and copy to your oscam files!
main ones we will edit/play with e.t.c
oscam.conf
oscam.server
oscam.user
The above files will get you and users connected and server communicating e.t.c
oscam.services
oscam.srvid
oscam.provid
The above will need to edited/changed/added dependant on the cards your using to get channels clearing e.t.c
Should be enough to get you going, if you need help Holla back!
There is a link on the 1st post here
Click Thanks and you should be able to download to your Pc!
Where it says attached files underneath is the link???
Best way is to install DCC on Pc and connect to box using that!
http://linuxsat-support.com/wi…enter-latest-version.html
Assuming Vu and Pc are on same network do a search and it should pickup your Vu
You can then access your box that way and add the lines in that you require!
When connected select ftp on the tab to the left and you will see an explorer like UI - Box/Vu on left - Pc on right - select location on left (box) and location of file on right (pc) and copy over!
Use something like Notepad ++ to edit/change lines and makes sure there saved as .cfg or .list
When using Mgcamd use newcamd.list and that goes in usr/keys
for Cccam use Cccam.cfg and that goes in /etc (i think someone correct if wrong)
Activate the Cam you require using softcam manager in BH of Vu and they should connect!
That's the easiest way to do it mate! Simples!
:mrgmx:
Hi Mate,
Well you seem to have done all the hard work yourself with no help lol so the next stages should be a breeze he says!
Ill try an answer as best as i can!
Oscam Cccam e.t.c
Horses for courses i often say on this....both have there advantages and dis-advantages but those all boil down to TRUST really,
TRUST as i big thing with sharing....if you TRUST the people you share with ultimalty it doesn't make much difference.
Some use Oscam to Read and CCcam to Share, some versions of Cccam are hackable/Lines reusable or cause problems have limited control e.t.c
but this all boils down to TRUSTING who you share with!
Personally i started with Oscam and Cccam and then ditched Cccam as i Trust who i share with and it was easier to operate everything through the Oscam Webif!
Some people use CSP but i didnt get on with it and found no real benefit but thats just me i suppose.....best thing to do is try and see what you get on with!
You should be ok using both cards, i haven't done this but i presume the principle is the same!
You would have to create 2 reader accounts in Oscam 1 for each! - As the reciever requests channel it should choose from the specific card!
Your next step really is to get the readers reading the card in Oscam
Set these up using the configs you have and Tuts e.t.c when successful you should see them reading in Oscam and entitlements showing! If you get stuck post back!
Once that is all complete you should be ready to start sharing - you may want to look at obtaining a No-Ip or DyDns account for ease of use with you static IP but the rest they say is History!!
Well done mate...you got through the hardest bit almost there!
Dorkike2,
Please note mate this is a Forum brandchild of a few......knowledge base of many but we all do this out of respect for the Forum and the Hobby!
There is no need to ask the same question multiple times......if someone is on that can help straight away they will....if not you may have to wait!
We do aim to help everyone as quickly as we can.......but the info is all contained within the forum.....just need to search correctly to find it!
There is no need to repeat post....just wastes valuable time to other members and space on the privately backed servers!
Anyhow your question has been answered in previous post (s)
Thread Closed!
I've never connected my wife to my F3 but i will try and report back LOL!
Cheers for heads up....let's see if this is a one off or actual problem with the F3
Mines wired...may have to check one day!
What wifi dongle do you use?
Sorted Yes = Thread Closed!
So i presume you are all sorted with this issue and the Card is being Read now?
Junger no exactly BUT!
Have you changed anything on you server?
I updated a package and made a few simple changes to server to reflect that and now i get same sort of problem!
Unless it me smoking too much seemed to be almost instant now most channels pop up 2/3 seconds but the odd few *** Sports HD and *** News HD can take somewhere between 5-10 seconds?
Once you have them clearing it seems to clear up if you flick back and forth! Leave an hour or so same sort of problem!
Not to hijack your thread but just surprised when i saw post! lol
IMHO if it aint backed or supplied by our user Alibaba tread with caution until he comments lol!
Id use something more stable/with better info/details/write up!
Try one of these

http://linuxsat-support.com/op…nbox-s16-please-read.html
Any Problems post back!
Click on the link to download to Pc
Unzip the file and copy the .abs file to usb stick (may be worth formatting USB stick Fat32 1st) keep file in the root of usb!
Go into Menu and look for Tools i think ( You are looking for option to upgrade by USB)
Select that and then the next screen allows you to select the .abs file from the USB stick so look for that scrolling left or right e.t.c
Select it S16_ENG_2.7.abs and press OK or Update!
You will see a progress bar as it goes through Process
Machine should restart when finished with New Firmware installed!
Something along those lines mate on S12 and F3 but should be similar for S16 process the same anyways so just look for 'Upgrade by USB'
well if we dont get anywhere this time i got a Omnikey you can have lol!
Nightmare!
