Smargo worked and is working perfectly on Debian, Lappy with USB!
Just mentioned as i came across something on the net!
Well its not the Linux Kernel as that is same as mine.....must be software/config related!
You could try the hub and see if you get any different outcomes?

Where you put changed usb device restarted oscam and page not found - You have to give it a few/ten/twenty seconds e.t.c to reboot! it won't come back instantly!
Also Green light should be flashing like Wifi when in use - if/when we get there
Have you got a powered USB hub laying around......some people have said this fixes problem but clutching at straws now!
With everything installed and updated correctly, using correct configs e.t.c i cant see why this damn thing ain't connecting to server

Yeah mate there's a block on the 3 letter word so where i put anything 5ly or 5ky change for what it should be lowercase!

Card right way round!
None of this worked? did you try updating libusb files as 1st part of post #15
Install:
sudo apt-get install libusb-dev
Upgrade:
sudo bash -c "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade"
Thats all i have left to suggest im afraid! it must be a software issue and something not up to date/installed on server!

Where you get smargo from?
if its on 1.4 then i wouldnt think its that problem just wanted to check! so no need do the update part
are you sure its a legit smargo??
And of course right way up ? with the smargo sticker and card side with *** logo only on same side lol if you know what i mean!

You could try installing/re-installing USB libs? you on Ubuntu?
Install:
sudo apt-get install libusb-dev

Are you a 100% sure its 1.4 if not follow steps by Master G this will tell you!
1: Update your smartreader+ if it has v1.2 or older firmware with v1.3 in your normal PC before puting into Linux server and set it to Autoswitch and select Normal to set it to work in Linux Server.
2: In Your Linux Server.
Copy these drivers to linux PC server. FTP 2 files:
srp_tools_x86
srp_update_x86
Set on console to both file chmod 755 !
3: Run command: ./srp_update_x86
and you see like so:
smartreader+ version v1.0, v1.1 or v1.2 then you have time to update.

The device ID should (he says lol) only change when Computer is rebooted?
Restart Oscam in Oscam webif and see if that picks it up after any changes made to port no!

You could try the following
1st
Try flashing with Orginal VU Solo Image - normally that can clean it all up!

If that doesn't work try what's suggested in link below (good pdf to tell you how)

That should clear everything down and allow you to put the Orginal Vu Solo image on!

You would need to setup a VPS account within someone! if you are hoping/looking to have Control in the *** so to speak!
But ultimately if your sharing a card you would have to have that link to where you card is! so you would have 2 servers one reading card from location....one in the *** sharing perhaps.
Dydns and No-Ip are services from companies that give you a dynamic IP address so you don't have to use 192.11.11.11 e.t.c you can choose something like linux.sat.dydns.org....they do all the backend work for you so that
points to your static Ip Address assigned to it!
Something to explore but unless you live in a blackout region for Electric running a Home Server should be fine!
