Settings do not update automatically. Just like you wrote, you delete the old one and install the new one. You can download from the feed or use enigma2-plugin-extensions-tvaddon_2.0.8_all. Maybe this plugin is a better option because it downloads directly from github, where I post settings. The settings can be downloaded with this plugin as soon as I upload them.

Openatv 7 is not yet ready for vu zero 4k. There are a few basic bugs, when that is resolved, then I will do a backup. I will not make a backup for the ultimo because I do not have that receiver.
