Im thinking about getting a S11 from fleabay which will be "updated & ready to go"
Think about his wisely - i dont think you'll be impressed with how un user friendly i found these openbox to be mate - its the kind of box i'd use in my 6 year olds bedroom or some what akin to a grundig entry level freesat box ! YES the picture is a picture after all its just how useless to drive is my real point !
1) Channel lists: Do these unscramble the channels alone or do I need to setup a card server thingy on the box as well?Channel lists is exactly that ! A list of channels often organised in the order providers like B$kyB use ect ect
AND yes
You will need a $ky subscription yourself which you can share around your house with a computer server "thingy"2) Setting up a card share server: Can this box do this & will this mean i dont have to keep updating the channel lists via USB?
You will have to update the channel lists often as they get changed by the provider ¬ normal 5ky boxs do it automaticly
AND
the card share server is used to share 1 card from an original box to many via a network - These are the basic principles......... You can find Everything you need here in the forum !

Same here gordyboy ¬ When i enter into tv shows sub menu all i receive is an alphabet A-Z with no listings !
I thought that being a movie plugin was the reason why ?
Is anyone else out there getting TV show listings via the 1channel plugin ?Thanks

lol the problem was I didn't connect multics in config to cccam using correct port and user/pas!! everything works fine now!

Which ftp program are you using ? i had similar problems when trying to use Filezilla as root ?
I found you have to login with user name and pass not root with filezilla !
Alternative is in CS studio and use winscp ! You can log in as root that way !:rikjaard1:

last time i made a card was over 7-8 years ago from memory it was a "titanium" high security door card that was used for conax ¬ it could only be programmed by elvis in phoenix mode or cas11 interface _ Softcams took over as cards had limited memory and processing power -
Things like fun cards - 6in 1 and gold cards are useless these days - well i dont have use for them anyhowz .

Banny ! You should have no need for an inline satellite tv amp unless your cable fron the dish is typically 50meters in length or more ! However you will find your going to need 2 f connectors to install it ¬ But i would consider this wisely ? Once that cable is cut into there is no going back and you will have created a "weak" point where water can ingress ect ect And imo there should be no need for a inline amp unless your cable run is massive :baffle:

its hard to get things right 1st time when your starting out EL TEL - Stick with it and you'll find the pieces will fall into place and the penny will drop as they say !

Thank YOU for your post however i think you overlooked the RULES mate ? Please make your first post an introduction HEREintroductions ¬ The script didn't include any cron-d for oscam or cccam - As an Enthusiast i manually do these things myself as i like to monitor the machine operating ! i re-boot manually by logging in with ssh !
