    Hello Atlas

what you want to do is Very possible ! i have seen many motorised and big non motorised dishes mounted in the way you describe !

Below is the type of flashing you need - perhaps not exactly but there are many available in that style
Solutions Group (UK) Plc - Webshop

Also i would use a mount like the one in the link below which theoretically can spread the weight over the roof/ceiling beams !
They attain their weight by inserting paving slabs into the squares which are made to specification to hold them
2" x 3" Non Penetrating Roof Mount Satellite or Aerial on eBay!

you can opt for any type of pole and mount once inside just depends on exactly whats best for the given situation -
i have seen steel poles mounted to roof joists/beams with bolts drilled directly through the pole and beam then secured with big self tapping nuts = 18mm

Hope this gives you an idea ! Ultimately anything is possible !

    Stay cool

it would be a much harder task trying to hack 5kys epg software system asking for a download when you required it.

there epg is updated o t a (over the air) through a dedicated Data stream from the satellite ! i think its on 11778v 27500 fec 3/4

most technomate rxers have the ability to use this stream already -

    :rikjaard1:

it could be the wireless signal format

i know i used N type over B or G - is the tenda even compatible wiv B or G - did you check what signal the 02 router is emitting ! most can be configured to select the signal type _ my bt router allows N B & G choice in the settings !

wise move trying @ home again - these things do ya head right in at times :misdoubt:

i use a tenda 150 with an eagle box that lives across the street in an old boys house - its nearly 40 meters away and connects fine !
i set it up in client+ap mode with wpa/wpa2 encryption - i followed online instructions direcct from tendras site from memory -

the eagle is set to dhcp on

    here are my configs:-

    oscam.conf

    [global]

you need a user name and password in web if - or perhaps you just omitted them for the post - Sorry if thats the case But it think you need to add summit there ! i used oscam osacm as example above !

could be that Digital switch over is not completed yet for your area ! However i'd imagine that if you were using an aerial pointing at CP you should get all the channels ?
If Both Places are using relay stations you might find you have to wait until completion of DSO to receive all channels as they only do BBC transmissions on 1st stage of switch over m8 !

Enigma2 is not ideal at setting priorities that would be useful for those of us (and that is a lot) who have one fixed sly and one motorised. What would be ideal is if you could tell it to always record on the fixed dish as a priority regardless of whether you are watching a channel on the fixed dish or motorised

Can the develpers be informed of this Quirk and perhaps make a fix in the future releases ?

I have a similar sort of issue with talktalk. Clients can connect but I cannot connect using my DYDNS settings, shows offline. though internal IP works though

Not sure if your problem is the same ! i'm saying i cant connect to my server remotely from my m8s virgin connection ! Not just the dreambox on the cccam port ! i cant connect back using ftp/telnet/ssh http -
i have not yet had a chance to try with my ip yet but i'm seeing him again tuesday !

i think your saying you cant connect to your server from your own house using dyndns - thats somesort of loopback problem and is normal ! for a local connection you should always use local ips instead of dyndns !

    Rik

Not the best if ISPs are starting to become proactive with this sort of thing!

i'm certain i heard summit on the news about certain isp's had signed up to a code of conduct which obligates them to cut off persistent filesharers, although i'm sure they have to warn you first ?
i am confused at the moment - He has a protek there and thats working all ok connected to a server getting jsc sports

i thought it strange when i couldn't get to my home network via the given dyndns name which is the same as the server uses ?
took the box up the road to another friend with virgin and everything is fine ?

has anyone had this kind of issue ?
my good friend has virgin broadband and suddenly after 6 months he cant connect !
while i am at his house i find i cant connect to to my home network via dyndns ? Does this mean Virgin is blocking something ?

i tried to connect to my server using

    filezilla - ftp
    putty - ssh
    putty - telnet
    http - firefox

each time i get timed out connection !
server is live because i can connect with 3g mobile ? internet is good as is all connections as they return websites .com.org.co.uk ect ect

Any ideas or previous experience with this issue ?
