Hi, that Alien model is the equivalent of the Spark.
This is the Sparkplus, the chassis is the same as the Alien 2 but this being single tuner.
Anyway am happy to listen to offers or trade ?

Anyone interested? Possible trades ?
Hi, it's single tuner, no HDD and TBH I've never tried to record anything with it via ext drive. I've got too many receivers and this was only used briefly for testing, so it's pretty mint really.
Dynavision Spark plus satellite receiver. This is dual boot Linux receiver coming from the same stable as the Amiko Alien & Golden Media.
It's loaded with the latest official Spark 1.2.58 firmware. You can also load an E2 image on it at the same time (hence the dual boot)
All boxed, with remote and in great condition.

How does this image compare with previous, 1.7.5?
1.7.5 gave me lots of GSOD.
1.7.4 Stable
1.7.5 GSOD for some people
1.7.6 Stable
Go to BH 1.7.4 and see if it works there. Should do CCCam 2.1.3
Assume you have HDD or USB installed then do a Personal Back Up
Install BH 1.7.6 and set up.
Then restore from Personal Back Up
Ok I've tried with Ubuntu 11.10 server distro and it's the same. I imagine it's a shared problem with Debian/Ubuntu, as it seems reading around that I'm not the only one who's had these problems ?
The latency error always comes up for me.
The smargo is recognised via lsusb, it even lights up, you can even use srp tools to play with it, if you put a card in it and the led goes blank.
It's a genuine smargo, v1.3, normal, autoswitch and I've tried 3 of them now. They all work perfectly fine in set top boxes, so I doubt the readers are all faulty.
I've configured the cccam correctly and Via the cccam info panel you will see USB0 reader but with no card inserted.
I've configured the Oscam files accordingly as well but to no avail.
The server is however working as I can connect to it as a client and I appear in the cccam info panel.
I've done all the other things that people seem to have come up against, remove britty ( wasn't there anyway) etc etc
I cannot see where the problem is beyond this. Logically it's either
1.These particular Ubuntu/Debian distros don't work entirely well with smargos.
2. Card reader, perhaps Omnikey is more compatible ?
3. Individual hardware introduces a latency that is not compatible with the Smargos
I'll keep trying with some older distros and perhaps not the server editions to see if it helps.
In the meantime any help gratefully accepted.
Thanks
Hi, thanks but gonna ditch this, didn't work for me and not going to waste any more time on it.
I might try Ubuntu 11.10server instead with that install to see how that goes
In the meantime thank god for Dreambox !
Hi thanks for that, but stiil not working.
I'm stumped as the server sees the smargo to allow me to toggle modes/freqs etc
I can even get a client to connect to the server and show up on the panel but cccam info says no card inserted.
I've now tried pretty much everything in that thread. Debian not working for me. Perhaps need to try something different ?
Close but no cigar....
I can use srp tool x86 to toggle the smargo so it's obviously alive.
Can anyone please explain what command I have to send to stop and start CCcam.x86
Beyond this I am now lost....time to give up me thinks
I'm having the same problems.
I continue to get the latency error.
The Smargo's are original, running v1.3 on autoswitch, set to normal mode
I can even get srp_tools_x86 to switch modes etc on the smargo so the server is seeing it, but no card is being read.
Bit lost on this now as it's getting beyond me.....any ideas anyone ?

I'm not sure if this helps ?
Getting really confused now.....
Ok, so I've now copied into home/cccam both these two files and ch modded them to 755
srp_tools_x86
srp_update_x86
How on earth do I run an update on them ???
Are these to update the smartreader ? Do I actually even need them as I have done that from my windows machine and I really do not wish to move beyond v1.3 on the smargo.
Thanks for all your help !
Hi, I've read that thread...going into meltdown mode soon me thinks.
1. Smargo is original, running 1.3. Works fine in DM7000 and DM500. I've even opened them up and they're authentic.
2. How do I stop and start CCcam.x86 ...sorry if it's a newbie question
3. I haven't copied across srp_tools_x86 nor srp_update_x86 yet...could this be it ?
.....on a plus note my port is open and I can see the service, so it looks like this smargo is the last hurdle...for now.
Thanks
rebooted and tried again

I've changed the config to read
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
The Smargo is in Normal mode, on autoswitch
Not working, same latency error
Adding new folder didn't work, renaming the existing one did !
It created the back up assigned to dir and cccam.cfg now resides in var/etc....phew !
OK, have now attached smargo, default kernel (not Dreambox)
In the config I inserted taken from my Dreambox and changed tts to tty. Is this correct ?
BOXKEY : /dev/usb/tty/0 XX XX XX XX
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tty/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tty/0
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tty/1 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tty/1
SERVER LISTEN PORT:XXXXX
I've not stipulated clock frequency as I didn't need to on the Dreambox. Is this correct ?
Not sure how far away I am from it but it's not working anyway.
Whenever I plug in the Smargo it assigns it a device id number along with the following....
ftdi_sio tty usb0: unable to read latency timer: -32
I've logged in as root, but the folder under home is the alternative name I gave the server. It's not CCCam. On install it asked for a username and strangely that's the folder that resides there.
Otherwise I'm talking to the server and the emu folder has been populated with the CCcam install files.
Something is not quite right, might just do a fresh re-install and try again ?
Ok, it seems to have installed.
I can't ftp via filezilla so am now using CS Studio. Where exactly does the CCcam.cfg go ?
I'm a bit lost now must admit. Trying to follow your steps here but not working for me so am missing something
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…rver-using-cs-studio.html
The tut says copy to Home/CCcam, I can see Home but cannot see CCcam dir in the tree. Do I have to create a folder called CCcam under Home or can I just copy .cfg straight to var/etc (I suspect not) ?
/emu/script/./configupdate.sh
No New Config present, Nothing to process
Many thanks for your help
Ok Debian webserver onboard.
Running your script now, it's now downloading the webinfo tools but seems to have hung for a while now. Is this normal at this stage ? Does it take a while ?
