Is there anyway so that if I reboot my Ubuntu server I don't have to enter the username and password by using the keyboard attached to the server, can it be bypassed or entered via a different device on the LAN?

Its just in an awkward spot and I have to get off my arse :P

I know you got it sorted but in case anyone else is searching for a solution, its also possible that the remote buttons are assigned to another task, this can be fixed by installing multi quick button plugin

No was oscam, I was looking in wrong place even after being told right place, but its a good thing to know anyway.

I have had filezilla not show files before, but that was because i had ommited the port number

Lol mate, if only you knew -

The first issue I had was registering the card luckily I had an old gaming friend of checz nationality.
The second issue is that it is only supported by a special version of oscam, although the last few builds of oscam claim to be compatible, the problem is the cam keys.
This version is only available on chechz forums, which Google doesn't do a great job of translating, I think even capNcook was close to giving it, it was only by chance I had previously found a full setup from a VU Uno, which it was claimed cleared the card, and we tried it and it worked.

All in all, that's a month of my life I wont get back, I would have probably been on floor outside having thrown myself out the window, at some point soon if it wasn't.

If the supplier of the card change the cam key, I will have to wait for a modded version of oscam to come availible again.

My advice to all fellow hobbyist - Unless oscam the standard oscam build finds away of bypassing or reading this cam key, Don't consider buying this card to use as a local

All ports should be closed except those you are using.

Change your default password on your router would be first and foremost, then you want to change all the default ports for cccam and oscam.

Also posting your person/public ip address on forums isn't going to help at all mate, I have edited your post above and removed your ip address (now denoted by x's).

This is said and done with your best interest in consideration, be careful.

Lol was about to post something similar -

The problem with the standard OSCam builds is the camkey data, although oscam wiki does state the card is supported in the most recent versions as pointed out by Ten a page or so ago.

we used the config from the uno archive in the duo and I got a shiny new version of oscam in my server.

A massive thanks once again mate, I think id have jumped out window today if I was left to my own devices to sort it out.

Im just relaying the information, I don't take any credit for the findings.

    As you wish -

Ok now to explain, for the purpose of the explination I am going to set it up so you can view your oscam webinfo outside your network, as the default configs in the oscam section tend to use 8888 this is what I have used

Name = Whatever you want to call it, lets say OSWEB
Start Port = 8888 #You could specify a range in here and it would forward all ports in that range
    End Port =8888
Protocol = Both #You can forward just UDP or TCP packets, but for the portforward you will be doing it can be left as is
Local IP Address = 192.168.x.x #The ip of the device you want to forward to in this instance the device that is running oscam

Some routers allow you to receive on one port and forward to a a different port on the recving IP, but not with the Virmin superhub

Hope this helps, post any further questions, as I have kinda rushed this. The end result for the example I just went through would be -

I would also recommend you setup DHCP Reservations, under the lan ip submenu -

Enter the mac address of the device, and then the intended IP Address, this will ensure that your devices always get the sameip address, so you dont have to modify your port forwarding settings. Under the section I have posted the above SS from, are your current DHCP assignments, I haven't posted this at it will have the MAC Address of all my devices.

**Important note - In order to ensure that this runs smoothly ensure all your devices setup on the same subnet so 192.168.X.X

This will probably be 0 for VM, so all your device local IPs will start 192.168.0.X - The first three numbers will stay the same

    UFC 152

Winner of this fight, will potentially go on to get a Middle Weight Title Shot.

There is a small handful of UFC fighters who have fully embraced the role of the heel. One of those fighters, Michael Bisping, will be competing at UFC 152, and as is his wont, he is freely offering his opinion. This time that opinion concerns a fighter that many think should be next in line to fight for the UFC middleweight crown, a fight that Bisping clearly covets.

Bisping will face Brian Stann in a middleweight contest when the UFC rolls into the Air Canada Center on September 22, and he has let it be known that he thinks a win over Stann will put him in line to face Anderson Silva for the UFC crown at 185. The problem Bisping has is that a lot of fans and pundits are clamoring for the unbeaten Chris Weidman (9-0) to get that shot if he can get past Tim Boetsch at UFC 155.

Bisping, never one to turn down the opportunity to shine the spotlight on himself, offered a much different take on Weidman when speaking to MMAJunkie.com recently:

    Quote

He knocked out a fat Mark Munoz, who was out of shape and coming back off a long layoff because of injury. Not that impressive if you ask me. In fact, before that it was Demian Maia – and again, it wasn't impressive. Demian Maia looked terrible in that fight, but so did Chris Weidman. "Oh, he cut this amount of weight." Well that's his [expletive] problem. That's not an excuse, is it? You looked [expletive], plain and simple.

He elbowed a fat Mark Munoz and now he's the great white hype? Just because he elbowed an out-of-shape fat man? Yeah, he's got a streak, and that all counts – undefeated, et cetera – so I suppose you can see the logic, but I disagree.

Pretty harsh words from a fighter that has gone 6-3 in his last nine fights, including a loss the last time he set foot in the Octagon. In his last outing, Bisping dropped a unanimous decision to Chael Sonnen.

Is Bisping needlessly disparaging the accomplishments of Weidman? Sure, but you know what, he’s getting people to talk. He’s drumming up interest in his fight with Stann this weekend. He’s generating curiosity in a fight that is third from the top on the UFC 152 card, ensuring that fans will want to watch more than the two title fights that will headline the Toronto fight card.

Bisping is that rare breed of fighter who doesn’t seem to care if you love him or hate him. As long as you’re watching him and talking about him, Bisping’s happy. To Bisping, all the world’s a stage and the spotlight shines brightest upon him during the days leading up to a fight.

These are the moments Bisping relishes, the moments when countless microphones and cameras are shoved in his face and he can tell you why he’s so good and why every other fighter who competes at the 185-pound limit is so bad. This is when Bisping shines as a showman, when he gets to walk out to a cascade of boos at the weigh-ins and greet the fans with a smile and a double middle-finger salute.

We have a few more days to hear from “The Count” before we see if he can cash the checks his mouth has been writing. Rest assured, he’ll make the most of those days.

I tried to use the most recent version ofOscam and got a segmentation fault, so I tried to build my own.

I will try the commands you have listed and the configs that I believe should work and see how far I get. I have ran out of patience with the card, but trying to look at the positives, I have learned a lot that I probably wouldn't have learnt.

I will give it a go and see how i progress, im not at home at the moment, so cant try it now.

EDIT: Sorry forgot to answer your question x32

The y mod version of oscam, requires some different setting up to the normal oscam, I have it setup on my Duo, I can post some configs etc tomorrow.
