Nothing to be sorry about but your post read as though you was merely interested in setting up a webserver, which is something that some members do, but of course as part of thier interest in linux and satellite set top boxes, and welcome being a VIP, and supporting the forum and becoming a VIP.

If you can eleaborate on what you are trying to do or why I will see if I can offer any info to point you in the right direction, although, if you have a read around you will see that I am not an expert but I can usually at least set you off on the right path :)

I don't understand what you mean, because I am getting a segmentation error I need to use recovery mode, or?

What I would ultimately like to do is run my CS Link card, in my server, and although the latest version is suppose to fully support my card, I have yet to see anyone using any version other than the modded version mentioned in this thread -

My Webinfo has never looked the same, as posted in this thread, I will try the recovery mode mentioned above, and see if it I still get the segmentation error.

The amount of time I have spent, on trying to get this to work, is obscene, so any clarification or help you can give would be very grately received.

Ok your options are -

Are there any improvements that can be made to your configs
Perhaps you would be best, using a smargo or oscam
Maybe you shoud get your friends to share cache
If you are all friends you should be in the same geographical area more or less
You should look to setup some kind of mesh network

The problem CCCam and CSP is that Clines do not go directly into CSP.

You are also a newby to the forum, can you please post an introduction in the appropriate section as per the forum rules.

Secondly if you don't understand CSP, why do you need it as part of your setup, are you having problems, with high ecms or glitching?

How many friends is your card shared, with?

I doubt someone is going to make a step by step guide especially for you, I suggest you do some reading, then if you get stuck make a post.

Whilst we are happy to help, this sort of requirement is on the verge of our interest with linux, as we are a sat support forum, could you eleaborate if/when you make a further post.

Lol mckeep just told me same and I was looking for usr\bin\softcam, I did of course know where it was really

You can attempt to merge two boquest as phoenix said, there is also an addon that is around somewhere which is a beta which auto updates 28.2 but doesn't overwrite your existing channel list.

My personal choice are Dreambox uk's 28.2, using B16MCC's frontend to generate them, as it fully replicates s*y uk channel numbers and catseyes for multisat but I haven't attempted to combine them, I would like to do it, but haven't had the time to commit to it yet.

Hi Buster, try checking your logs to see the cause of the crash, my first guess would be the log files are getting to large and not leaving any space.

Check if the log sizes are restricted in your cam settings.

That would depend on the image you are using, I am pretty sure most images retain the cam settings.

I tend to use the USB Drive for picons, swap and possibly permanent time shift, leaving the internal HDD for recording, leaving the internal HDD to sleep for the majority of occasions.

You could always record to a shared network location, if you don't have an internal HDD if you are struggling to record to the USB Drive.

If I wanted to locate a file example oscam

in msdos I would type dir oscam /s or even dir /s oscam c:\ (or something to that effect)

What is the equivileent in linux would it be find -name oscam /usr/bin

The reason I ask is the oscam is running but is not in this directory and im running Vix 2.4

Thanks I have commented the lb lines out for now and corrected the typo I did come across it yesterday, but hadn't corrected it in my main copy of my configs.

Ive also updated my configs on here. I have added an edition/version control log, for now just so, I can see where I am at and step back if I prune too much.

Off topic: Ive just gone for the basic package at the moment, if I wanted to add to that, are there any channels or bundles you would recommend?

The answer to your first question could be that VM start at 192.168.0.1 (for superhub) and a lot of other routers start at 192.168.1.1

Your DNS settings should be picked up automatically, just so I am sure I have this right, your running on a local network and only have one client going to the server.

The only two changes I can think that you should have to make are possibly to allow for the change in ip of your receiver

oscam.conf####
httpallowed = 192.168.0.0 - 255.255.255.255

and possibly in the ip in your receiver for your c/nline

When you say access oscam from a friends house, do you mean the info or the service, so it will clear channels at your friends?
