    Softcams, either install feed and get them through plugins menu or install the files directly:

    Get dreamboxedit - http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=28&page=3
    Open appropriate channel list in dreamboxedit - http://linuxsat-support.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17
    Transfer channels to your wetek

    I don't think the wetek has been that great either to be honest.

    My box wouldn't scan for channels in wetek theatre or kodi, I emailed and they requested a log from the box. Wetek then sent a replacement tuner which made no difference, then finally replaced a box with one that worked. No real complaints about the process but I'd guess hardware problems aren't that rare.

    I gave up on android pretty quickly and switched to openelec 5.05 running with TVHeadend, this was great for a long time aside from lipsync problems which eventually pushed me to upgrade. 5.08 has been absolutely awful so far, I'd be lucky if the box runs for an hour without freezing and needing the power pulled out.

    I do think it's going to be a good box, especially when e2 is ready but it feels like lot of hassle at times and probably not suited to those who don't have the patience for it.

    Hi,

    I'm finally happy with everything in tvheadend, so I thought I'd give VDR a try just to see if I'm missing out on anything.

    It seems alright but the zap times are awful in comparison to tvheadend, a good 5 seconds! I'm using openelec 5.0.8.

    Is this the same for everyone else that has tried VDR?

    Hi,

    This is probably a stupid question... my motorised dish came with a single lnb, which had been fine for my vu+ solo but I have a dual tuner box now. Are lnb's all pretty much interchangeable on sat dishes? Is the neck(?) of the lnb always the same size to fit in the bracket that holds the lnb?

    Picture of my lnb: http://i.imgur.com/GPFH9Yr.jpg

    Also I think a friend had a quad sky lnb sitting around his place, would that be fine on my dish?

    Sorry for the stupid question but I've not mad keen on climbing up and down ladders to find I've ordered the wrong thing.

    It may be paired to the HD receiver now.
    If it is, the only way to get all channels working again is to get your card paired to a sd receiver. (web chat or phonecall to sly)

    I'd guess that sort of request throws up a lot of red flags at their end these days. I think my friend did have one of those white thomson receivers sitting around somewhere though...

    Thanks for the info

    Hi,

    Myself and a friend have had a cccam server for a while now to share a card between us. My vu+ box broke around xmas so I wasn't using the server.

    To cut a long story short my friend noticed the premium (SD sports & movies) channels had stopped working, so he decided to put the card into his s;y HD box to try to fix it, he also informs me he let the box update.

    I've read little bits here and there but I'm guessing the loss of premium channels is a permanent thing and there's nothing we can do about it, for now at least?

    Did he fudge things up by putting it back in the original box or was there nothing we could have done anyway? I'm interested to know if he deserves a kick in the balls or not :thumb:

    Thanks

    I actually removed a lot that too and tried, didn't work like this either:

    [reader]
    label = CCcam_Server
    protocol = CCcam
    device = serverurl,serverport
    user = username
    password = password
    group = 1

    i use web interface of oscam to add my c and n line each time, but also I keep backup so it is very easy to restore

    I don't suppose you have any links that describe how to do this?

    I feel like a dumbass but I can't get a c-line to work with tvheadend.

    I followed a video tutorial here that get me as far as having oscam installed, from there I don't know how that connects to tvheadend and how to add a c-line to connect to a cccam server.

    I tried adding the server details to the oscam.server too in this style:

    [reader]
    label = CCcam_Server
    protocol = CCcam
    device = serverurl,serverport
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    user = username
    password = password
    inactivitytimeout = 1
    caid = 0963
    ident = 0000:000000
    group = 1

    but that didn't work.

    Any help would be great, thanks.

    I've got 1 still setting up but far as I know it has newcamd and osram support. Channel list and epg work using tvheadend. 28.2 channels sorted themselves just need to change regional

    thanks for replying, does the wetek theatre live tv app not have a working epg?

    so far would you recommend it?

    Thanks for the answers. I might sound like a dumbass but is it possible to avoid tvheadend altogether and still have 7 day epg and softcams? I have developed a tvheadend phobia.

    How weird...

    My vu+ solo died, I bought a tevii s660 usb tuner and finally gave up on getting it working with my raspberry pi 2 or pc.

    Then I got to looking at android dvb-s2 boxes earlier today, in particular the wetek play and now I come on here and you've got a 10% off / VIP thing going on, must be a sign that I should buy one.

    Anyway can anyone please tell me a few things about this little box...

    • Can get my cccam cline working easily?
    • Are there any problems with netflix?
    • Are channel lists and 7 day epg's possible / easy to add and work with?
    • Does it work with a motorised dish?

    Sorry to be a pain but the usb tuner with tvheadend and kodi turned into a total disaster, really can't be arsed going through that again. I need something more simple, hopefully this is it.

    Hi,

    After the unfortunate death of my vu+ satellite box I decided I'd buy a tuner for my PC or raspberry pi instead of a new sat box. I bought a tevii s660 usb tuner as I read some decent things and it was supported natively in linux.

    I've been messing around between openelec/tvheadend on the raspberry pi and nextpvr/mediaportal with windows.

    I gave up on the raspberry pi because the tuner kept disappearing after a while. Nextpvr worked fine but I couldn't see anywhere to add softcams, so I moved to mediaportal. Somewhere in the midst of this experimenting with the software above and some others (I think) my motorised dish got moved to 19.2e from 28.2e and now I'm struggling to get any of the software to move it back.

    I'm currently trying openelec + tvheadend on my PC after reading somewhere that motorised dishes around difficult to manage in windows. On my sat box I just set the motor side of things to positioner, then entered my latitude and longitude and I was good to go.

    Can anyone please help me with controlling my dish / getting it back to 28.2e? There's only so much German TV I can handle...

    progdvb sorted me out, works the motor fine :thumb:

    so that worked for a while but now it's back to the red light and a serial connection no longer works properly, it gives this:

    Any ideas? Time for the bin?

    I posted on here a while ago about this, hopefully it's the same problem - http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=69332

    My box is not a clone, I finally got round to getting a usb to serial adapter and serial cable, this has just worked for me:

    Switch the box off, on the rear side.
    choose in putty for serial connect, speed must be set to 115200 and choose you`re comport.
    Put the box on, when you`re connection is oke, you wil see some text scrolling over the putty screen.
    Now use the ctrl + c key to stop the booting.
    copy the following line in the screen:

    boot -z -elf flash0.kernel: 'rootfstype=jffs2 root=/dev/mtdblock0 rw mem=0x8000000 bcmrac=3`

    The box now reboot from the flash, so watch you`re box.
    Then open telnet with dcc and put in the following line.

    flash_eraseall /dev/mtd5

    and after that the following line

    reboot -f

    Then you`re box is running again.

    I was amazed... had more trouble getting the usb to serial adapter working than fixing the box.
