Ten i was thinking of taking ddclient off server and just use my router's dns updater to update dns but wondering would the vpn still work on server as for some reason it won't work without it.
Do you know a way i can configure ddclient so it keeps sync with my public ip without taking server down every few days when ip changes or what is the actual timings before ddclient does it checks to see if new ip has been issued?

I have a problem i have server all up and running fine. Sometimes it disconnects my m8s from it then i need to run the command ddclient on my server my m8s come back online and the server is all back up and running.
Why is this i know my public ip changes but shouldn't ddclient keep it in sync with my dns addy?
This has happened to me a couple times but been at home luckly to to restart and mess with server to get back running but only just clocked on its ddclient

romman just added 71 to whitelist its on now. Will keep my eye on it for a day and let you know how it goes as it likes to come on and off when it wants but think you might of hit the nail there. Thanks for the help appreciate it
Very strange i have not changed any settings and 15% into the match now *** 3d has decided to clear. What could this be, The channel has a mind of its own as it will probably say scrambled soon?? Any suggestions as to what could be causing this would be very helpful. Thanks
I have the same problem now. I put a usb powered hub on my server and the disconnects seemed to not happen so frequently around every 30 mins instead of 10 mins in csp. But still same problem.
So i put the boxes on static ip instead of dhcp turned to on but still same problem. If you find out the solution please share as its doing my head in. Both boxes on latest firmware aswell both boxes are S11's on same ip. I have tried to different lines on same ip but not fixed so went back to 1 line with max connection 2 on same ip.
Might try the line as a N line in CCcam client setting instead of mgcamd after the match to see if that fixes it.
Been monitoring it but it seems to say scambled most of the time and on the non-ppv programmes on this channel. What could possibly cause this as all over channel work fine. Could it be my reader settings above?? Could someone who has the channel working all the time check their settings against mine. Thanks

Thanks Ten. Just set that line up httpdyndns = host1.example.com,host2.example.com underneath the httpallowed line in my oscam.conf.

I have a problem I can't access my webif from outside my LAN. I have opened the required webif port but when i try to connect from outside it say Access denied.
Do i need to add something in oscam.conf that will let me connect to it via my hostname??
Also im on Oscam 1.20 unstable build 6059 and seems fine but is there any better out there that won't cause me any issues?
When i have no vpn, clients can't connect to my host name on my normal public ip. When i actually get vpn configured they can connect on that vpn's ip. Why is this?? As vpn is a right pain in the ass to get configured on a debian 6. Would rather use my own public ip for the time being till i get vpn configured again. But my m8s see server offline with my host name and ip.
Anyone know why this is?
Better still anyone know of a decent program to format my hard drive as i think it keeping old files on even after new install. So going to wipe it completely and start again. Was trying to use Dariks Nuke but was coming up with kernal error after i was trying to autonuke it.
