How would I confirm that it is current?

I installed the Manual installation fron here I would asume that that would be the latest build.

Is it a white or red card ?
If white has it been in the official sky HD decoder recently ?

Hi Master G, Can I ask why you asked that if it was a white card and it had been in the HD decoder recently ?

Replace the dns part with your server ip address as you don't need a dns if your server is located within the same network as your client receiver (your server's ip shouldn't change within your lan if you've set it a static ip within your router as per tutorial)
Leaving it as is means your client receiver has to venture outside your network to your dns provider then is redirected back into your network and some routers are flakey when this happens. (some don't support it, it's called nat loopback and may be disabled as default from within your router)
So change your line on internal receiver to this option (fill in the blanks as required)
    N: 192.168.x.x 10010 test1 ***** 01 02 03 04 05 06.......14
Replace in red with your server's ip.

cheers, i've changed it, and twinty minutes with the change and not one disconnect.

    thanks for the quick reply

    My local line is My.dns.com.

on my zgemma h.2s in using CCcam 2.3.0

I'am waiting on my local card being installed next week, i've my Omnikey HID 3121 Card Reader sitting waiting.

Yes its my friends server and he knows that I'm only testing.

thanks, seems to running ok, but user running on box within the same network keeps getting disconnected & reconnects.

When I was running oscam/cccam I added a second N line in cccam.cfg with the local ip which seemed to fix it, but I've no idea here

    Hi,

I've been testing oscam/cccam, now i want to try just oscam, Im looking oscam configs for S**UK 0963. I can only see this for 0960, do I just replace 0690 with 0963 under caid?

    thanks

Hi, I'm having problems login in as root in putty and WinSCP. I did read somewhere that it was to do with the version of ubuntu, and it had a fix, I thought I bookmarked it as I knew I would need it at some point, but I can't find it now and been searching all day for it.

Up until now I have been able to get by with sudo -i, I've been using this TUT but I'm having problems Updating oscam to latest version and I thing it because I can't log in as root

Is there any difference between the C-line and the N-line, for the end user or security?

    - - - Updated - - -

I was planning in giving my friends a N-line, is this the best option?

    http://myip:port or http://mydyn.com:port

for the other query it is better to post the config (remove any passwords)

    thanks that work easy enough.

My Nline works when I have the port open but not when closed.

Apart from communicating with your peers through server listen port, you shouldn´t have any other EXTERNAL ports open.
Unless you are transcoding/ streaming or similar..
Port 80 or 8888 , for example are internal reading so no need to open on the router.
So which other ports are you forwarding externally?

    Cheers for the info.

I had the listen port open and also the default port 10000 to use N line, but after I clised the 1000 port the N line stopred working.

I didn't actually open any other ports, I just didn't know if I should or not besause I couldn't find any info to say eather way.

just the server listen port so that users/peers can connect to your server apart from that nothing. Then if you want to access the web interface from outside your home network or not open the ports of oscam or cccam webinfo

That interests me. I've opened the ports oscam or cccam webinfo to try this, how to I access this? http://myip,192.168.0.3:port or http://mydyn.com,192.168.0.3:port ??????

    I've been following the "Ubuntu Server 11.10, 12.xx, 13.04 x32/x64 - Auto Oscam/CCcam 2.1.3 Install" TUT

I'm at the step before adding my card reader, but I want to make sure every thing is running as it should be at this point.

I've been trying to find the answers to a few things, but I'm going round in circles, So I've a few questions.

1st, Do I need to open/port forward all ports I choose in my config files? not just the server listen port?

    thanks.

I've updated my box to WooshBuild v3.01, reinstalled the itv player. now I'm getting to watch a video but the box reboots 30 seconds in. happens on all quality links
