    Well before I bought the Firestick the Duo2 route was what I was after. I was hoping to use the HD on my Duo2 to say record things etc. I have used a 7" tablet to watch TV via the tuner on my Duo just to test it. But I not really looking to go down this route all the time. I can get football via CCcam etc of my Duo but wanted another way of watching football via the streaming I wanted to see how good it was. I doubt the quality can beat a satellite system with say 1m dish. At the moment I`m still setting up my Firestick I have Kodi on it now and I`m still trying to sort the streaming out etc.

    Brill` thanks you very much. I`ve done as you said and hey presto done it got Kodi installed on my FireStick now just going to add some more bits of sofware. Thanks again and if you was in the pub near me I would buy you a pint ;-)

    I`ve just bought an amazon Firestick and I’m trying to config ES File Explorer. I`m following all the info on the net to add a link to favourites.
    I` trying to add Kodi: http://kodi.tv/download. Then add the link to your favourites.


    The trouble is it’s not saving any links no bookmarks. It seems a simple procedure so no idea what I`m doing wrong. I`ve made sure
    “Apps from Unknown Sources” is turned on.


    I`m giving it a name (kodi) and following all directions but it’s not saving as it should a link in the left field/menu in ES File Explorer


    Has anyone had trouble like this or know what the problem might be.

    OK is it possible to put the full version on like the one on a firestick. If I do a backup of my Duo2 settings etc (which I do all the time) and it does not work
    or it does daft things to me Duo2. I could always go back to my original settings. I was going to buy a Firestick but thought if my Duo2 could run the software
    i could use this instead. I just wanted to look at the live streaming and see what it was like. I suppose the picture quality of the Duo2 looking at the same ch will be
    better.

  • Trying to config XBMC on a VU+ Duo2

    Hi,


    I`m trying to config XBMC on a VU+ Duo2. I`m using Blackhole version: 3.0.1.0. I know its got XBMC in the add ons. i`ve started it up and got it working. Is this the same XBMC- Kodi as the ones on the Amazon Fire Sticks. I`m trying to get live TV (streaming) up and running. Any help please i`m trying to get some UK footy on it.

    Hi thats the trouble with buying at the first series of anything. I salute you for beiing one of the first to go over the top so to speak. You know that prices will come down the next 12 to 18 months. I only just got my VU Duo2 6 months ago had a Duo for a few years but waited till price came down. I`m happy with standard 1080p HD. We all know what happend to 3D TV. I will move up to 4k but I suppose when my main HD telly (around 12-14 months old) dies. I might then look at 4k TVs. I hope you can sort out your picture problem and get a better picture than standard HD. All the best

    Well I`ve gone back to BH version 2.1.2. I`ve not done any online updates just a new reflash with 2.1.2. I`ve got it all reset back up and got Cccam 2.3.0 running. its been running for 65mins so far and just saw a slight freeze/pic breakup 2-3 seconds so will test longer and give update later.

    well it just came back again a 2nd time about 70mins from original startup of 2.1.2 so this is not the silver bullet :-(

    well I`m trying to get my head round Oscam I`ve got it installed just not got a round to setting it up correctly. This was something I was trying to do. But the earlier version of BH what version should I try. I will have a look and see what I can do

  • Freezing Picture

    Ok I hope someone might be able to help me. I`m having freezing problems on my Sat boxes. At the moment I have a VU+ Duo and a VU+ Duo2. I also had the same problem on a Dreambox DM-518-s.


    The freezing is only on my card sharing Ch.’s (not freesat etc). I`m running Cccam on both boxes. I`ve tried different versions of Cccam. My main sat box the Duo2 has Cccam 2.3.0. The image I’m using is BH the most up to date version. It was the same on earlier versions of BH as well. I`ve also tried other images.

    I’m on Fast Fibre. I`m yards away from my local phone exchange the green fibre boxes are in the BT grounds yards from me. I had the same problem when I was on normal broadband. I`ve had an engineer from my broadband company come to my house and check broadband in the house and had external test done outside and from the exchange. All have found nothing. I`ve had this freezing on other image as well a Vix image (still using Cccam). I`ve never had and broadband issues all great speeds.


    The chap I get the lines from for the Cccam (who I know and lives local to me so I trust him) says no one else has the same problem. He’s asked loads of others no one else is coming back with similar problem.


    I`ve tried loads of things, one Ethernet cable direct from router to Duo2 I`ve tried different cables also different routers still the same. Also I have Home plugs in the house going to the Duo that freezes the same time as the Duo2.


    The freezing happens all the time as I’m doing this it froze at 5.10pm, 5.22pm, 5.31pm, 5.35pm, 5.48pm, 5.50pm. 6pm, 6.30pm, 6.36pm, 6.45pm, 6.57pm, 7pm, 7.01pm. This is just a sample from tonight.


    Now that’s just a normal night (I`m watching Sky Sports News) but it can happen on any pay channel. Films, Sports, Kids Ch.’s. Like I said the free Ch.’s are OK. I`ve tried changing LNB still the same. The Duo2 is run of a different dish/lnb than the Duo so different cables/lnb The freezing can just last a few seconds 3 or 4 seconds or can be as bad as 1,2, or 3 mins. It’s all so random I cannot really find a pattern. The nearest pattern I can see is on the hour it seems to stand out the most when it freezes.


    Can anyone think of what it could be. I`m going to take my sat box to another house tomorrow. The last time I did this it was working fine. But I don’t think I did it long enough to be 100% sure so that’s why doing it again.


    PS. Both VU+ Duo`s are 100% legit bought from UK shop VU+ sellers

  • Can't get C line to work

    Have you got your cam to run correctly as by default it will be the cam on the original image that is set to run. Also have you the same cam that was working before running. (I had to update my CCcam to 2.3.0 as my older version would not run all tunners on my Duo2 (I have 4 sat tunners) also is the line in VAR/ETC/CCcam.cfg

    well I tried this but no luck. my machine is running Nabllosat DM500 v.0.8 sofware. I`ve tried to see but cannot search for home networks (well i cannot see it) I`ve put in the ip address of my Nas HD and its found it but I`m lost how to stream from it (no media player on it) it got some file transfer option I`ve tried to see if I can find the folder with my films on my HD but nothing. Any help anyone..............please. Thanks

    Hi,


    I have a DM518-s its working all OK. I`ve took it out of the room it was in and replaced it with a VU+ Duo I had spare. I now want to move this old DM518-s to another room that does not have a sat cable input. I only want to connect it up to my Home Network to view things I have on my 4TB WD my Cloud NAS hard drive. How do I go about this if it can be done.

  • Which cheap linux DVB-S box?

    Well someother people have said it take a look at the VU+ Duo (the older one) my 6 year old kid can work it. Also support is still great. Price is much cheaper now get a legit box dont get a clone. You can stream off it loads of things extras you can do on it. I run a motor 1 m dish of mine and a sky fixed dish both connected up and running. VU+ boxes are good so take a look
