I just got openatv 6.5 installed now on my VU, so will be checking my plugins now.

For those who have had chance to try this. Is everything as it was.

You need a least a 2 user account to record and watch a different channel at the same time.
If only 1 user account, one will cancel out the other.
This is different than recording over the air programs, as iptv live streams and recording streams are both pulling data from the provider server at the same time. So classed as 2 active users.

If you are a non techy and just want a simple life, of watching a bit of freesat via your satellite dish, maybe getting an iptv sub and watching iptv. Bit of netflix or amazon movies. Then android boxes are an easy choice. The Formuler boxes are good for this. But basically all you are really getting is a faster more powerful firestick (which can do the same thing)
If you like to be a bit more hands on, more of a personalised look, whether that be like sky or virgin etc then enigma2 boxes are what a good majority use. But they do take a little more effort to setup. But plenty of help and info around on the various satbox forums. Easy peasy when you get your head around it.

Icone iron pro is an android box.
zgemma h9.2s is an enigma2 box.
All depended on what you want to do with your box?
Most people recommend the h7s over the h9s. It is more stable. But h9s is a good rapid little box.
Check out world of satellite for some alternatives in your budget range

Hi,
each time when the plugin is updated all the settings and iptv channel list are gone, it should be due to preinst or postrm of the ipk file which uninstalls the plugin.
but why on update? will it be first uninstalled and reinstalled again or it's just update process of plugins from feed ?

On install, I do actually delete all references of previous version. settings, data files, epg files etc. (Not playlist file)
This orginally was because I kept changing the data file. Old files that had different data would crash as some names changed. So to prevent crashes, I made it a clean install.
There is absolutely no reason for me to delete any files on plugin update now, so I will remove the preinst file on next release
But I am keeping the postrm file, because if you uninstall it, I would assume you want all files removing and not left as orphan files

How the ordering works.playlists in the plugin are the order of the list in /etc/enigma2/jediplaylists/playlists.txt
the order of bouquets are the order you create them. As these get added to the bottom of etc/enigma2/bouquets.tv file
but... on update. I clear all references from the bouquets.tv and rebuild them. I have to do this to delete gone channels, or added channels. (its just easier and a lot quicker)
I then rebuild them one by one from the order of the playlists.txt file
So if you want your playlists in a specific order, then reorder your playlists in the playlists.txt file.
Probably best to re-order them in that file, then delete all playlists and quickly recreated them.
Then everything should stay in that order.

As bouquets get deleted and remade on update now. Are you grouping providers or not. I will have a delve into the code and see what it is doing. Its a Long time ago since a wrote the bulk of this code. I also dont have any test providers that change their l lists frequently

Fixed update bouquets not deleting bouquets correctly. (might fix some of the issues people are reporting with duplicate bouquets)
This is a large plugin, lots has had to be amended. Some conversions I am not to sure about.
There may be bugs. I haven't tested a lot of this. But gives chance for people to have a play before I surface tomorrow morning :)
Stick with 5,32 for now unless your experienced and know what you are doing

If your line has been hacked, or you have too many connections active for your sub, then your line will freeze. Either it will not play at all, or freeze after 10, 30, 60 seconds.
Have you tried checking how many active connections you have got on your line.
You can do this in a browser by typing your full iptv url and replacing get.php with player_api.php
i.e
http://yourdomain.xyz:port/player_api.php?username=user&password=pass
you will get a response something like this
or you can test your line in an iptv checker which will also show you your active and max connections
I have a windows program here where you can do that

Yes because by the sounds of it you have either installed the wrong image to start with, or something has broke which is unfixable.
So you need to reflash with the correct image. I gave a link to your box (if it is a h9s) above.
USBs can be funny on zgemmas. try a variety of different usb sticks. And try to use a proper branded one, not some cheap ebay usb.
you might even have to install 6.3 first, then do an over the air flash

Do a full reflash, using the correct image and instructions. Sounds like you been faffing and broke things

When they boot up you get a splash screen. You choose there which to run.

Well basically it is the same box as dinobot 4k. Dinobot, Anadol, Axas. All then same box. Anadol is enigma2 only though.
I have a dinobot 4k. Its my main machine I use.
All depends what image you want to use on it. I know you can get openatv for that axas box. -
Doesn't matter dinobot is old.
There isn't many boxes that have a better spec than the dinobot 4k
People are still waiting on the zgemma h10 combo as an alternative
