A selection of enigma2 boxes now come with 2 satellite tuners (make sure they are 2 sat tuners though and not cable or terrestrial tuners if you want to use your sat dish)
Aim to get a quad core box though. Plugins and IPTV are requiring more power than older duo core and single core boxes
2 tuners means you can safely watch and record 2 different programs at the same time
To confuse things further, you can in theory record as many channels as you want if they are on the same transponder. i.e bbc1, bbc2. But also recording say ITV will be on a different transponder so classed as a different record and another tuner needed.
Their are android apps that can be used by firesticks to access your new enigma2 boxes channels. If they not on amazon store you might need to sideload it onto firestick.
An example app is dream player. But if you go on google playstore and type in enigma2 you will find lots of alternatives.
When you stream to another device. i.e firestick, again that requires a free tuner unless you zap to the same channel on your enigma2 box
I will further add, to receive encrypted channels, you will need to pay for a subscription. Though you wont get the main channels like, sports, movies and some documentaries.
If using IPTV to get other channels, these usually only come with 1 max user, possibly 2. So you wont be able to multiple record IPTV channels.
But if you are just happy with freesat channels no need to worry about other options -

What are you using to view your iptv.
An iptv bouquet maker - this uses an xmltv file. EPG importer is used to bring in the data. And you use the standard EPG guide. If this is incorrect then you need to inform your provider. Because the offset is set in the data
or an iptv player - depending on the plugin you are using, it might have an option to change the epg timeshift.

I am currently working on some of my skins offline.
Adding some missing screens, checking syntax etc.
I might get to the epg tabs mod for vix soon.
But as Dsayers already points out. Tabs are purely cosmetic. The same function has always been there by pressing next or previous on your remote. (if it has them).
I personally wouldn't change image just because of this missing tabbed bouquet list.

There are some things that you shouldn't edit in the json file.
Which is basically details from your url
protocol
domain
port
username
password
etc
Anything else like xmltv address is perfectly fine to edit the json file if you wish to.
But my program automatically sets a standard xmltv url.
If yours is none standard, it has to be for your playlist provider, otherwise all the ID refs will be incorrect

Hi Kiddac. I know the epgselection.py mod does not work with recent images so lost the ability to have tabbed bouquets and page down functionality. If you have time, that would be superb. I use VIX as ell.
I haven't touched the EPG mod, as VIX were in the process of making their own version of the correct coloured buttons and quite possibly tabs.
I have no idea where they are at, or even if its a none starter.
The code for VIX EPG is now completely different than ATV, so it would be quite a mission for me to go through the code and see where the tab code goes and how it gets incorporated. Its not just one file they use now for EPG (i.e the old epgselection.py) , its spread out over multiple files.

I just updated all my skin threads with the dual ipks. Common components and main skin files.
Not added anything today, but maybe there has been minor tweaks here and there since last year.

I need to do an update and check for all my skins, so might do that today and install all the latest images.
Abu has split out my skins to 2 ipks in feeds, common components and the main skin files.
I have done this offline also, but not updated the threads yet.
So you got any other issues let me know.

I still haven't updated to openatv 6.4 (6.3 is very stable for me - so I just stuck with it. Long gone are my days of beta testing every single release and update. )
By the time 6.5 comes out, I might end up missing the entire 6.4 version :)

You seem to be getting all confused. There is no version 7.0
Latest openatv is 6.4
Can you still ftp into the box. If so it might be best to get any iptv / line details off it (if the user doesn't have a copy of them) and do a fresh clean install
