What version of python is this using. I read python 2.7 is no longer going to be supported in February.
Are there plans to update to python 3, with more up to date libraries as some of the ones in use now are dinosaur.

You can find general instructions for picons in my thread here.
KiddaC Picons
you place your picons on your external device, whether that be a usb or hdd
Then reboot your gui.
EPG picons you need to turn them on in the EPG settings. If black hole is like other images then just press menu button on your remote while on the EPG to get settings.
My epiconizer plugin also works with black hole. Might be of use to you.

Jedi Maker Xtream v5.26
New file on post 1
This is only an update for people having issues with lzma crashes when trying to download rytec files when creating bouquets. (normally dm800 / dm900 boxes)
The reason it was crashing was because I was doing a check to see if lzma was installed. If it wasn't I wasn't even returning blank values.
So it was looking for a reference that didn't exist. It now returns blank values if lzma library missing. But...
I have also added in a dependancy to try and download lzma module automatically when installing the IPK. So there should now be no need to manually install this if it is missing. Let me know if this causes any issues with people
As promised just a quick update.

New file on post 1
I brought in a bug last month that changed TS files to M3U8 Files if using multiple providers.
This has now been fixed. That is all.
On a side note, my pal seagen has gone awol. He has not been seen on any forums for a few weeks or replying to messages. Which is unusual.
Hopefully he is just having a break and nothing more than that. I hope he is well.
In his absence I have no one to make my .deb file updates.
So if any one would like the files zipped up to update the latest deb files. That would be very useful.
The major topic of conversation in my threads of late is broken and crappy IPTV EPGs.
So I thought I would do some experimenting with e-channelizers' IPTV and EPG assignment.
This guide is for e-channelizer premium. Its only 16 euros a year (or 12 this black friday week). Standard edition doesn't have this option.
This is not an overall guide on how to use e-channelizer, there are guides on his site and on youtube.
I am assuming you have some knowledge of this software.
Firstly you are going to need a good EPG source.
You can use an EPG source from another IPTV provider. i.e http://domain.xyz:port/xmltv.php?username=youruser&password=yourpass
You can use any hacked IPTV lines EPG you find on iptv blog sites if that line is still active or even disabled.
You can use 3rd party EPG files. (xml or xz, possibly gz )
You can even use any EPG from the full Rytec catalog of european satellite EPGs. (although I find these confusing as they are named badly and there is far too many of them.)
So I have been kind and searched the net for you and found a full set of worldwide channels EPGs.
EPG source list
epgs.txt
Note this particular EPG urls are secure https://
These do not work with EPG Importer as the plugin currently doesn't read https:// files.
I have therefore provided 2 hacked EPG Importer files that allow this particular EPG source to be used.
Download and copy these 2 files over to
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/EPGImport
*note these 2 files are for oe-aliiance builds only, openvix, openatv, pure2 etc*
EPGImport.py
xmltvconverter.py
Reboot your GUI.
1) Create your IPTV bouquets with whatever bouquet plugin you use. Jedi Maker Xtream (of course)
2) Open e-channelizer and setup your box profile. (Server icon top right )
3) Read from STB
4) In the right window select your IPTV category or stream.
64a214fc9.png
5) In the middle column select all the channels you wish to assign EPG to and Right click. Selecting Stream EPG > Assign.
6) Select XMTLV EPG > NEXT
7) Click Add new
8) Give your EPG a name and paste in the URL(s) in the EPG URL box.
8fcf4f5a404d8f.png
9) E-Channelizer will now use fuzzy logic to second guess most of the channels for matches in the EPG source. Check them all carefully it's not 100% accurate.
10) Use the search box at the top for any channels that are wrong or missing. Clicking the TV icon and the checkbox accordingly to assign.
11) Once you have gone through all your channels in this category. Click Next. Click Close.
12) When you have finished all your assigment. Click the Up arrow icon (top right of screen). To write to your box.
13) On your sat box, Open EPG Importer plugin. Blue button (sources). Check this new EPG source.
14) Manually run an EPG Importer scan.
15) You should now have full EPG for all your worldwide channels (not just UK) if your EPG source(s) are good. Note you can mix and match as many epg sources as you wish.
Now my Jedi Maker Xtream plugin should ( I say should ), keep the same reference for your channels even after auto updates. So you should only have to do this once.
It's quick and easy once you have done it once though.
Note: EPG provider files used in IPTV plugins will clash. So don't double assign. Use one or the other. Not both as it might pick up blanks otherwise.
MAGs mac codes all start with 00 1A 79 xx xx xx
Giving a possible 16,777,216 combinations. So the chance of another person having the same MAC address on a mag box is slim. I assume every MAC address is actually unique. Don't know that for definite.
But... We also now have STB emulator which is used by thousands and thousands of people on Android devices. In STB emulator you can change the mac address to be anything you want. So people can easily replicate any mac address of a mag box. This might be your issue.
There is also a flaw in stalker portal that allows them to be brute forced with the correct software. Again this restricts their use if someone has brute forced a particular mac.
Are you sure its your MAC address that has been rejected. Have they actually said that.
You usually cannot get tests from temp email addresses, weekends, or if your IP address is on a blacklist. But most people have dynamic IP addresses nowadays so a quick reset of your router will give you a new IP.
And just because your mac cannot be used on one provider, doesn't mean you cannot use it on any other provider. All providers are independent of each other unless they are resellers for the same service.
checking my EPG mod files. You are using the wrong epg mod file that is all.
openatv mod file
openvix mod file
6affbd3f9.png
if that doesn't work you need to install the original openvix EPGSelection.py
Upload to
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens
that is attached below.
There are several EPG mods about that change the colour buttons to be more like sky. (plus other things like changing what the remote buttons do and bringing in epg tabs across the top)
(options / recordings / -24 Hours / +24 Hours) etc
These files change the core elements of your EPG files
Now the problem is these epg files are different for openatv and openvix. Chabs tends to be openatv based (I think)
So you might have uploaded openatv epg mod files to your openvix. This will cause a crash.
I have my own version of these mod files.
Here is the openvix file.
Upload to
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens
lots of dead links in that plugin already. Who ever is maintaining it, needs to update it
https://urliptv.com/CCcam/index.php (dead as it now asks you to enter a name)
http://cccam-free.com/NEW/new0.php needs changing to https://cccamgz.com/FREEN1/new0.php
https://excccam.com/exfree/get.php needs changing to https://iptvfree.ch/cccamfree/get.php
just checked my openatv 6.3 on my dinobot which is hisilicon and everything is normal.
My build is a few months old though.
this is a freesat recording though, are you referring to over the air or iptv recordings.
not just the best on linuxsat :)
This is my oscam.conf

reshare = 0
version = 2.3.0
[dvbapi]

au = 1
boxtype = dreambox

httphideidleclients = 0

httpsavefullcfg = 0
my box address works perfectly fine
Its not 100% accurate though.
It gets confused with file paths.
It's telling me I have unexpected properties....
RecordBackgroundColor
ZapBackgroundColor
These are perfectly good properties as used by EPGs
Deleting comments is not really a good thing. It will have Author details in / usage rights, possible lines certain users need to uncomment to enable certain things.
It did find me some rogue colours though in my skins
I wrote a step by step guide on installing openatv and softcams a few months ago.
It's the same method for all enigma2 boxes.
Have a read it may assist you.

What am I up to? - My General Waffle Thread
i would take h7s off your list and swap it with a zgemma h9.2s.
zgemma h9.2s £71.95
OCTAGON SF8008 S2X TWIN £99
Gigablue UHD UE 4K 2xDVB-S2 £259.00
VU+ Uno 4K SE 1x DVB-S2X £389.
I know which one I would buy. They all do the same thing. Except one is £70 ;)
I still love my dinobot 4k, only bad point is its a single tuner.
Just go on google playstore or apple store and type in enigma2.
Loads of apps. Try some see what you think of them.
Jedi Maker Xtream V5.23
New File on post 1
Added in a new buffer option when creating bouquets. Personally I found no use for it, other people seem to think it works. Supposedly option 1 is the best choice. (Experimental)
Fixed dead Xtream URLs showing full url instead of the just the domain.
so in that pdf it says you first need to run activator for e2.
then it appears in the plugins menu
I have googled Activator for E2, AutoDarkBouquets E2, Club Mini/Max, Club-Importer.
No joy in finding any more info other than that pdf
You don't need Kodi, you can just use openwebif to view your channels on your computer (which will have EPG)
Just get your boxes IP address.
menu > info > network (or something like that depending what image you are using)
Then just type that IP address into a computer windows browser.
press the tv or mobile icon to view the stream in VLC player.
If you only have 1 tuner you will have to click on the channel name first to zap to this channel.
