Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm away from my box at the moment and can't check it. My Alien 2+ has 2 satellite tuners. If i connect tuner 1 to my USALS motor and tuner 2 to a fixed 28.2 dish (with the correct tuner settings set in Enigma2) would the box be clever enough to record a programme from 28.2 using the second tuner, while the USALS tuner is say at 13e or would it drive the motor to use tuner 1 to record the 28.2 programme?

I run OpenATV on the box if that makes any difference.

Sorry, i have an Amiko Alien 2+ (as the server box if you like) and i was trying to get my Gigablue IPBOX to connect to it. I have since managed to get it to work.

I've finally got round tottering an image other than Vix4 (couldn't get the latest version to work on my box). I've installed OpenATV on my AMiko Alien 2+ but obviously i need some form of plugin/protocol installed on into get my Gigablue IPBOX working again. Does anyone know what i've got to install in order to get this working again ?

I've tried installing a load of protocols from the OpenATV network section and it reboots the box eventually but doesn't seem to install as overtime i go back and check/setup it asks me to download them again.

My ariva has it printed on it as well but it does update the card.

The the Conax cam has been out the box for about 3 days now. Hopefully this will be sorted soon as the entitlements on my MTV card expire soon.

Finally today after several days of trying it all sprung into life. The guys at Satskelp arranged for the card to be wiped of entitlements and re-written (or something). Three or four hours after contacting them bingo it all started working. The card is sitting in the Ariva box at the moment, will try with OSCAM at the weekend.

Yeh thats right. It was confusing me as. I was just checking that i hadn't been sent a wrong receiver for the card and thats what was causing the issues.

I've posted two photos. One is of the top of the Ariva 203. The box has 1 CA and 1 CI. I was told by Satskelp that the box doesn't need a cam for NC+. I have got a Conax cam in there for MTV Unlimited. With the Nc card in the box will display the entitlements etc so its clearly reading something of the card.

I've emailed the supplier again to see if they can get the reactivation signal resent. Totally lost now.

Bus man, how long should i realistically have to wait as it was Thursday morning it was activated. Could some confirm the oscam.server for nc+ incase i decide to walk it back in that box.

Is the card likely to be Conax or Seca? Just wondering if it is Conax it it might work in the Spark OS of my Amiko.

UPDATE: it has Nagravision on the card

UPDATE2: OSCAM is saying its SECA but the 203 has CONAX written on it. Really confused now.

Thanks guys this is where i'm at with it. The card was activated thursday morning apparently, for 48 hours it was left on TP1 in a Ariva 203 that came with the card and nothing happened. I then decided to put it in my Alien and i can see global EMM's being written to the card. The admin entitlement is showing as active and an expiry date of Aug 2016 but Cyfra 1 and 2 are showing as expired Jan 1991.

I hope this is the right place to post this but if not sorry and please feel free to move it. I took out a legit NC+ subscription through satsklep. The card arrived and they sent the signal through channel TVP1 but its failed to activate. 3 days i've tried with both my Amiko Alien running OSCAM and the Ariva box that came with the subscription direct from Poland. I know its not the box as obviously I've tried two. Has anyone got any advice i could try until i wait for Satskelp to resend a signal (if thats possible) as they seem to be closed over the weekend.

I have two Amiko boxes both running oscam with Sly cards in them both. Both boxes had different entitlement end dates but still many weeks away. I recently downgraded my Sky account and a few days ago the entitlements on one of the boxes dropped (as expected). The second box however still has the full set. Is this a case that one box is not updating or do Sky roll them out to different cards at different times? The box that did update the entitlements have gain an extra 4 weeks but box one still has the original. They both have the same [reader] with only the boxid being changed. The non updating box shares via oscam with a 3rd box we have but I'm guessing that doesn't make any different.

Any ideas or am i just working over nothing?

Right installed the plugin rebooted then ran the plugin and rebooted again but there are no 28.2 channels listed. Do i have to do a manual scan or anything? Also i was hopefully looking for ABM rather than that plugin to allow me to take them for other sats. Any ideas anyone or it is back to another image?

Hi Ive flashed my Alien 2+ with OpenATV but Autobouquetsmaker seems to be missing from the plugins/extensions download. Could someone point me to a working copy of it to add manually? I've tried loads but nothing seems to work.

Just wondering: I missed the Feb 1st update and the channels stopped clearing. Moved my dish to 19.2 and let it sit there for 20 mins or so and they came back but oscam is still reporting 'no entitlements' but the channels clear fine (box doesn't have any clines on it so it's not them). Any ideas?

Out of interest what does dvbapi actually do and do I need any mtv reference in there?

i'll give that a go tonight. Thanks for the tip. If it doesn't work i'll drop him an e-mail. For a novice i've found Vix4 one of the easiest images to us and i like the fact it just works with the setup i have. It also helps that he is willing to spend the time answering emails and questions.

Yeh I've got Dolby digital selected on the channel. That's what's making me think it's the image as the box and amp are fine with a different image.

My Alien 2 is running Vix4 but I'm having a few issues with dolby digital. My amp seems to only be receiving PCM audio. I've attached a photo of my settings to see if you guys can spot anything I'm doing wrong. I have 'downmix to stereo' set to NO. I've made sure i have AC3 selected on a channel I'm viewing (in this case BBC1 which my sky box says is broadcasting in Dolby D 2.0). The box is connected by HDMI to the sony amp. It seems to work in OpenATV but Vix4 completely refuses. Is this an issue with the image or my settings ?

Any ideas guys?
