    Thank you MRGMX,

I have the ubuntu 10.04 LTS well installed and running ok with a static network config. Even have a gnome on and currently using Firefox now
I can go Oscam reading the S** white card and CCcam to share..as I have my SAB receivers using Oscam, and DM500S and Openbox S10 using CCcam

I am first concerned about internal CS (3 bedrooms + sitting room) and I will have other 4 friends to give some Clines. So I just set my DM500s as a server with the following:

    1 - Nabilo image
2 - CCcam 2.1.3 installed and running ok
    4 - my S** boxkey
3 - the changes below in CCcam.cfg but the DM 500 does not read/show the subscribed channels

    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
    ALLOW TELNETINFO: yes
    ALLOW WEBINFO: yes

    I don't know where I went wrong.

    Please help

    Thanks in advance

    Sorry MRGMX

I went through the link for the CCcam only before and noticed that TenBelow's post states CCcam 2.1.3 but in fact the unzipped files show CCcam 2.1.4...Would this be fine with files for CCcam 2.1.3? I can notice that most people prefer CCcam 2.1.3 as It shows local

    Cheers,

    If you just want Cccam

    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…-ubuntu-cccam-server.html

    Hi All,

In my Router Linksys WRP 400, the DNS setting has no option for no-ip.com but only DynDNS.org or TZM.com

If I select dyndns.org and add in the relevant fields my
    1 - no-ip.com Username
    2 - no-ip.com Passwd
    3 - no-ip.com hostname fulgas.ilovecollege.info

Will this work? or I must go dyndns.org

    thank you

    Hi Guys,

I am using a 25Mb Fibre Power Broadband through my Linksys WRP 400 router.

This router has 4 ethernet ports and 2 phones ports.

It powers all my TVs (4), VOIP phones (2 lines), 1 desktop , and 2 wireless laptops in the house

At least 2 TVs, all the phones, and the desktop are running at the same time.

******My question is: Will there be any freezing issues if I use the desktop as a server for CS?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi All,

Need to know whether anyone is having the same problem.

My S10 just went dead few weeks ago. The on/off light was coming up at all. I thought that was something to do with the plug or the power support in the box. I moved it from 1 room to the other within my house, even tried all the sockets in vain. Then I tried few friends places with no success. I then returned to the retailer shop in UK (as box still under the warranty).

I just received an email from the retailer saying :

""I test it for more than 24 hrs.
I found that more than 12 satellites downloaded in it , the receiver memory is limited . i suggest you not download more than 3/4 satellites.
I did a factory reset and changed the firmware.
I scanned a single satellite 28.2e and it is working Ok.
Now your box is ready for collection."""

    My questions are:

    1 - Is this normal?
2 - What happened to those who have a motorized sat system and can scan multiple sat lists?

I planned to to buy a Orthon X403p from the same shop and I need some advise as they are encouraging me to get REDLINE receiver instead

    Please help

    Thank you

    Thank you Sandman

I just got a DNS account on No-ip.com as follows: fulgas.*******.******
At work at the moment. I will try it as per your instruction and keep all posted tonight

    Cheers

    Hi All,

    Let's say

1 - My host Ip address (retrieved from myipaddress.com) is 109.255.XXX.XXX
2 - My router ip (Linksys WRP 400) is 192.168.15.1
3 - DHCP setting in my ubuntu server as follows; i

"""This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
    # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

    # The loopback network interface
    auto lo
    iface lo inet loopback

    # The primary network interface
    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet dhcp"""

Now to change I need to change to STATIC Configuration, I made the following setting:

    # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
    # The loopback network interface
    auto lo
    iface lo inet loopback

    # The primary network interface
    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet static
    address 109.255.XXX.XXX
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    broadcast 192.168.15.102
    gateway 192.168.15.1

I then restart the server using this command nano /etc/network/interfaces

The server does not go online....

    Where am I going wrong?

    Thank in advance

[quote='musogeek','https://linuxsat-support.com/index.php?thread/&postID=45825#post45825']for question 1 - you need to change it to static

I have been trying to change the DHCP to static network. Every time I finish I loose the internet connection. I don't know where I am going wrong. In fact I have been taking the following steps:

I enter command code: sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

and then change DHCP to STATIC, then add:

address : 109.xxx.xxx.xxx (this my PC ip address)
netmask : 255.255.255.0 (Subnet mask address)
gateway : 192.xxx.xx.x (my Router ip address)

then I reboot the server. After rebooting, the server goes and remains off line...

I have a lynksis router WRP 400...Do I have to amend any setting to get the server connected?

Since I am only want to share within the house and with couple of friends...Can I use my own PC IP address (or Router ip address) as the hostname?

    Please need help?

    Cheers

    Thank you Master G

I just followed your instructions and installed "Nabilo CCcam info plugins V 1.0 (Autoinstall package). I also got into the Cams, and installed CCcam 2.1.3 complete....

All working fine now but CCcam 2.2.1 is still showing in Menu....Is that normal?

    Thank you so much

Download CCcam 2.1.3 from the Dedicated Addons Server on the image.
