    I have 2 instances of oscam running sidexside on one computer with one card(usb omnikey). I have readers (oscam.server) in both instances but only one reads card at any one time. Is it possible to tweak some setting to get both to read card at same time ?

    Its stil giving same errors. I have disconnected the omnikey reader and tried also and I reboot after each try. I also tried Synaptic packet manager without sucess but it is reporting it as a 'broken package'. can i safely delete the files associated and reinstall. But i would need info on the specific files or directories. Or do the get out quick approach and reinstall Debian. done it so many times now my comp is even getting it done almost automatically

    I'm using Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 \n \l with automatic update on

    Nice to learn a bit of linux but totally lost now. Reinstall Debian ??

    Thanks very much for quick reply. i get this after I FTP and reboot. The card reader-Omnikey 3121. On front it has LH led lit but RH one is not
    root@?????:~# opensc-tool -l
    [opensc-tool] reader-pcsc.c:906:pcsc_detect_readers: SCardEstablishContext failed: 0x8010001d
    [opensc-tool] reader-pcsc.c:1015:pcsc_detect_readers: returning with: No readers found
    No smart card readers found.

    I followed this guide the Debian way
    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…key-readers-linux-pc.html
    And I get this
    root@????:~# opensc-tool list-readers -l

    I may have interpreted these lines incorrectly:

    And change thise lines by removing # from front and reader_drivers lines u delete one comand too:

    reader_drivers = pcsc, ctapi;
    try_emulation_first = yes;
    lock_login = false;

    What command do I delete ?
    This what I did for line 54(seems to be error) :

    reader_driver ctapi {
    module /usr/local/towitoko/lib/libtowitoko.so {
    CT-API ports:
    0..3 COM1..4
    4 Printer
    5 Modem
    6..7 LPT1..2
    There is no module /usr/local/towitoko/lib/libtowitoko.so
    Help very much appreciated

    Debian 6.0.5

    In crontab:
    33 3 * * * root reboot
    */5 * * * * root checkoscam.sh

    Reboot works,checkoscam no(manualy yes).

    there are more than 1 crontab in Debian 6. there is a system crontab in etc/crontab which you access by nano /etc/crontab. It has 5 fields and then user and the command.
    There is lso the user crontab which you access by crontab -e which also has 5 fields followed by command, no user or root. You can find/edit users' crontabs with crontab -u user
    if you "man crontab " there is a lot more info.

    Grateful for the info and please understand that as a newbee I am trying to learn from more experienced ppl like you. Also I hope I am not hijacking this thread

    First off all you need to be using an patched image for the clone boxes otherwise you get the - no ca error -
    Is this correct ??
    dunno if there is more ways to solve this problem then using com port flash with dreamup software (correction needed ? should also be patched)
    With DM800Se it seems easier to use browser and flash button on rear ?

    So as long as you stay away from the original image's there shouldn't be a problem I've seen quite few clones that come with
    the tuner more or less not fitted in the socket as they should which also can give some tuner issues when trying to configure them.
    Easy solution here is to open up the box and see that the turner is fitted firmly in the slot, if not be sure to fit it correctly.

    edit:
    For an clean clone pli look for gjstroom patched ones they are stable and nice only ones I use
    end edit:[/QUOTE]

    I had always used these immages buI cant find any recent Gjstroon immages . Appreciate a link

    I have same problem M8 with 3.0 Beta and 2.1 Beta. Its referenced on other sites as well without a consistent solution. Mine is not a tuner problem as it is fine with blackhole immage. Problem there is it thinks my box is a vusolo. the newnigma2 immage boots an then shuts down. I cant get oscam to work with any. Anyone know whats goin on ?

    Thanks for great post. I am trying to use it in Debian 6 . I get "-bash: ./firewall: /bin/bash^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory". I have used nano to set it up . I have changed iptables to /sbi/iptables and save file in /etc/init.d. only other change is i have commented out two lines in this section
    case "$1" in
    start)
    echo "Starting iptables firewall"
    # Only needed on NSLU2 - Disable them on regular Linux installations:
    # modprobe ip_tables
    # modprobe iptable_filter
    flush_existing
    create_chains
    populate_chains
    process_input_chain
    process_output_chain
    ;;
    stop)
    echo "Stopping iptables firewall"
    flush_existing
    rmmod ip_tables
    rmmod iptable_filter
    echo "Firewall rules flushed"
    ;;
    reload|force-reload)
    echo "Reloading iptables firewall"
    flush_existing
    create_chains
    populate_chains
    process_input_chain
    process_output_chain
    ;;
    restart)
    echo "Restarting iptables firewall"
    flush_existing
    create_chains
    populate_chains
    process_input_chain
    process_output_chain
    ;;
    *)
    echo "Usage: /etc/init.d/ssh {start|stop|reload|force-reload|restart}"
    exit 1
    Not sure how much of this section should be "comment out"
    Any help very much appreciated and special thanks to Ten Below
