    Have a look at your Dish b4 you purchase 1 as their is a couple of differences in how they fit your dish depending on what version dish you have, push in to arm or a clip on.
    looking at ebay i see a Octo LNB with MK3 & MK4 Adaptors for £14.99.

    What type of dish are you using, $ky mini or do you have a decent dish?
    Wouldn't it be easier to fit a quad or Octo Lnb than getting another dish or you could even go down DiSEqC switches method if you have 2 outputs from lnb.
    Me personally would swap out the LNB if I had the option.

  • can`t FTP to box since updating image

    When you telnet up to box and it logged you out with wrong passwd, did you use root as user?
    Also have you tried SSH port 22?


    I only use putty myself so I cannot comment on dcc, and as for FTP I only use filezilla & I know from experience when I loggin to some images I have to go up a level by clicking on the folder icon to see root with all its content.


    Also have you downloaded a preconfigured image, the user/passwd maybe different to a default image.

    No its just typical $ky all my arse marketing crap, some customers see their bill going down by £3 or £4 were as a lot of others see theirs going up. Clever marketing, got to say the same shite stuff about their new app for kids channels, the fookers forget to mention what we give you in one hand we take with another. I was all setup to throw this kidsapp on the kids phones and laptops but I then read the app counts as skygo account, so say good bye 1 of your skygo accounts when you install the app :(

  • Some Sky Channels

    On the 7th their was a transponder change for channels below, I'm guessing these are some of the greyed out channels your seeing.
    Enable the option clear before scan b4 you do a scan, otherwise you'll only be adding to a previous scan list, hence greyed out channel data that is no longer in use.

  • Line edit Problems

    If your going to use notepad, use save as; then change the save as type to all files otherwise it will default to txt.
    Also check you don't have a tick next to word wrap in the format menu.

    Well I'm pretty sure I was wrong first time with my guess as I noticed yesterday a red pip appear were yours is green, the red pip indicated a timed recording had started.

    Oh btw I swore by invacom LNB's until I come across my problem but I soon swapped ships as the 4 year warranty was worth the paper it was wrote on... Tried many emails to invacom with no reply. I had my lnb about 15 month before it played up.

    The Vbox usually suffers from dry joints, I'd get hold of a soldering iron and give it the once over, I've also noticed that resitting the pcb can help when I've had problems in the past ;)
