to get TS media to work you need an enigma2 box.

Not taking away any merit/credit from this incredible plugin but an alternative would be to set up XBMC on a PC/TAB/IPAD/......
XBMC will work in linux,android,windows ,etc....
there are some threads to give you an idea of how it works here: XBMC
you can also control/filter it for the younger members of the family ;) -
Blindscan is exactly that : scanning for all possible transmission frequencies not just the pre set frequencies symbol rates etc...
According to your last post requisites I would most definitely go with the solo2
¿ why ? you only have to look at how many sections/info/support there is for the VU+ ..
maybe I´m wrong but it sounds like you are looking for a simple-no fuss stb with everything already pre-prepared...
so the solo2 is a must for you and more importantly for the wife!! -

I slightly disagree MeeRcat, I have the kids (3) on share, If i restart the box for any reason it would be massively easier to send a message to say the share will be off for 15 mins, at the moment they are resetting there own boxes when the freeze occurs, even though it was caused by me. but i do take on board the security issue.

it doesn´t take 15 minutes for an e2 stb to restart, it doesnt even take 5,,
and with all the other methods of messaging,etc ,,there really is no need but I do agree it would be an interesting investigation ..
And finally remember you are not just putting your own server at risk ,but of all your peers...... -
use dFlash for backup,
use Dumbo to put image (flash or other ) on USB
change bios to boot from USB
Why would somebody who simply want to try another image go through all that ??
In BH make a FULL backup of image ( media/hdd or media/usb) and then install another image,less than 20 minutes from start to finish. -
You dont put any files on the box..
You install these apps to your ipad and then from there you configure the connection in the app.
As long as its INTRANET meaning your own personal network wherever you have the duo.
There is no need to touch anything on the duo. -

One box fair enough, but for 2 different boxes to react the same way,,something is amiss.
I would check everything from image to connections to downloading to installing.

Look in etc/enigma2 folder and make sure the sat.xml file and lamedb file are there at least.... -
the apps are already on the site you only have to look for them using the searchbar.
I have done it for you and they are HERE in the VIP section.
You install as any other app then setup with IP of box , configure it if with double tuner or single( I usually use them in mirror)
then depending on how efficient your bandwidth is you configure to low/medium/ high..
thats it ... then on left you should see whichever settings you have , bouquets etc... -
Not being funny guys, but we have a post with a "thanks" and a "Likes" for a post which suggests installing Open PLi v 4.0 on a Dreambox DM800HD?? According to the Open PLi website, you can only install v2.1 on a DM800HD, am I missing something here? Is it good practice to thank an inaccurate post?:-
