could you clarify a little more what procedure(s) you have tried so far ??
Only other possiblity i can imagine is an up to date channel scan
Just tried out PiP in BH 1.7.9 but although the option of using PiP is there ,it won´t even show up the other smaller window..
I´m using UNo with DTT stick which has always shown up PiP as you mentioned on earlier versions..
so maybe go back to another earlier version if this is needed ;)
once i get through this VTI ,
I´ll be back to BH 179.. will check it out in a while ;)

I havent got BH image on at the moment ,but I know it can be altered/adjusted to personal preferences...
have jsut upgraded to alpha build 2 and watching today´s ( 05.01.2013) onenews perfectly without a glitch beer10

most if not all tv series, progs stop after a few minutes,,strange,,

havent tried on vti but Master G has made a handy ipk for vix , look for it in E2 plugins
yes ,its there ,but depending on what else you have set up...
try this : go onto channel list then press menu and you should see a few options incl PIP...

You have not explained what problem(s) you are having with 1channel which does play subtitles when available....
Have you tried pelis-a-la-carta ( e2 plugin) if you understand Spanish /portuguese/italian ??
or the many Germanic speaking e2 plugins ???

there is a slight difference by zeroing out what is not needed/used..but not enough to justify it..
I haven´t used vix for a long time ....
menu - vti panel- vti software manager-system plugins--crossepg .. download + install....
full reboot ..wait for image to reload-
then menu-setup - crossepg is at end of list- configure -storage - (i use USB STICK ) all YES except for show force reload as plugin-scheduled download ( once a day)
red button back-opèntv providers (astra 28.2) green button (enable) yellow button (download)
let it do its thing --when it finishes it´ll go back to whatever channel you were viewing..
red button ( back) then exit .. now you´re done ..
press epg button LONG (meaning hold it a while ) graphical epg - OK -thats it,,you should now see a full epg ;)
cant take pic at the moment ,,but it does work,and quite well ,so no need for cooltvguide,, so uninstall it ;)
just trying hte latest vti 5 image on the UNO ,, same ,its very slow + laggy ,,but there is a possible ¿ fix ?
go to menu -vti panel - system tools - vti zero and remove whatever you don´t use/need ,,full reboot is needed after..
you can easily restore these the same way ...
you havent got crossepg setup...
I am currently setting this image up on an UNO too so when I´m trying it out ,will let you know
yes,, oscam is possible,, if you look in configurations you will see one for 1810
But even implementing this ,,,, unless you have got a dump and know exactly what you are looking for.......

I dont have an amiko to tinker with ..
so I am going by general rules for e2 images...
when you setup crossepg ¿where did you "map"/save it to ?? a usb stick , hdd, or internal flash???
Check again at the crossepg setup and at the top it will say wherever it will be mapped/saved to ..
It´s not a good idea to map/save it to internal flash,, I always save mine to an external usb so in crossepg it looks like this : media/usb
once the epg has been downloaded and saved then a full reboot and then open cootvguide and you should see the full epg..
