me thinks its that CCcam as intelligent as it is goes for the fastest ping and response time no matter the peer.
there is a theory that it will go for first in the list top to bottom...
but I think this is more of a coincidence just as the theory that Nlines are faster than Clines..
As you say,,the group is quite small so unless there is a very heavy user drawing all the attention from the server not giving it time to handle other requests,,,if your server is the only one that the othe peer has then its going to be heavy)
so I think its down to fastest response time..
had a similar scenario last night during the boxing...

The original BH image is enormous as it includes many plugins (perhaps you dont need hbbtv, etc)+ drivers for other peripherals that again you dont need,,
but be careful what you delete as it could alter the image making it very unstable..
there are other alternative images that dont take up so much flash.... latest BP comes to mind

FIRST you could pass by INTRODUCTIONS if you havent done so yet then take the time to read the forum rules..

you could try MeGUI which is

catseye e2 will work perfectly on dm800 ,,

How can i test my setup...

    I need a c line

I am ready to share ??!

You do NOT need a cline to test if you already have an up to date subscription card.
Please refrain from posting personal details or anything related to wanting to cardshare.

Had a few crashes and gsd's when using it didn't take specific details, though I would be willing to give it another try if i taught there was active and progressive development still on going with this image and that we had somewhere to report bugs and issues and knew that developers actually see these reports and take action.

Maybe the use of Google code would be useful to track bugs and publish latest images.

This is certainly the way to go if we hope to have a decent image for the alien 2.

Maybe if you read into what our friend osborne82 has just suggested:

Then no reason why not report here as you are in the support section.

please pass by introductions and take the time to read the forum rules .
you might find other users more helpful to answer you especially as you have been registered since August and not bothered to do so yet.

COOLSTREAMTECH is about all there is ..
something posted way back then in 2009 :

it runs Neutrino just like a Dbox2 but with HD (hdmi) and PVR esata support. Ftp in and it is just like a dbox2.

    sorry cant find more :(

any card that is up to date will get you started..
you will not be able ot share the keys from your friend..
no such thing as a poor student,,LOL
this is a hobby which curtails a certain expense just like any other ;)
reading is the key to success..so enjoy the adventure:thumbsup:

    Thanks rikjaard-real,
I have a friend who bought a star track from this guy, he pays him £60 every six months. At the end of this period, after payment is made the guy sends him some keys to enter in his star track box.
Can anyone with such a box use those keys? or the box won't be authenticated? i'm assuming this "guy" is running a server of some kind and keeps a list of all his clients!?

    Thanks,
    casawi.

You are referring to a payserver which we 100% abhor... i plead with you not to go down that road,,
what seems like "easy street viewing" is actually ripping off the "customer" for a service which can easily set up and controlled by yourself..
the peers who he is robbing / faking their cards as his own...eventually it will fall back on you.
you could start off with a cheap card like mtv or adultcard to get your self up and running ;)
all the help of how to do it is already here and you will notice there is an abundance of well meaning users on this site to "guide " you..

and what would be the easiest cheapest box out there to use. I say the cheapest in case I mess it up.

coming from enigma 1 ( drremabox original 500+s) to enigma2 ( vu uno)
I would strongly recommend going straight to an e2 box as SD channels will die off soon enough leaving only HD/3D ..
for the price difference ,there´s not that much and if you consider the available support, plugins etc for e2 are far superior...
check out our sponsors page and you will see a lot of options...

As you know I´m in Spain ,,just like some other users and have no probs to pick up everything on 28.2º ,
you will need from an 80+ cms dish to get the hardest freqs in mid/south France..
ask your friend which astra as c+france is on astra 19.2º not 28.2º.... it can easily be adjusted...so not a prob...

not having either a 500HD nor a broken lappy but I´d say you are making a big mistake ridding the lappy as it is perfect for the job..
the stb ( 500HD ) will not carry as many peers ( peaking @35 peers with only recieving hop1 cards ) nor be as efficient as the lappy ( generally speaking depending on tweaks etc)
so after doing what Muso suggested I would strongly consider the ups n downs before changing servers..
just my thoughts after reading so much...
