if you want to get a feel of what the box can do,, try one of my backup images to start,,only until you get an idea of what they are capable of..
Once you feel comfortable managing around it then go for a clean image then addon whatever interests you ..
there are so many options with this stb that you will be spoilt for choice ;)

STEPS TO ACTIVATE HBBTV IN VU + SOLO:
1- menu
2- configuration
3- to handle software
4- to handle extensions
5- Network
6- hbbtv (to install this extension) once installed, to resume the Vu to be assured to be well installed
7- to Go to
a channel of tdt or sat that have service of Hbbtv, IN TDT SPAIN (the 1, la sexta, for example)
8- to Maintain tight button blue until a window leave where among the options this 1-Browser start/stop sign.
9- to put Browser start/stop sign in start
10- to go inside that window of pulsacion long of boton Blue to opcion 3 Hbbtv aplicacion in the following window to choose the channel selected and to wait for that the window of entrance of the channel leave (it will say that press the boton red to enter)
11- to ENJOY THE HBBTV. ...

sounds like the internal IP has changed for the box .. go into DCC run the "check IP" for the 500s then accept.
then make sure DCC can open telnet and FTP .
go into box make sure it has the same IP then reboot and all should be back normal..

Seems that dyndns are charging now,,whereas no-ip is still free of charge..

DCC is the programme to connect the pc with the box.. this is used on windows to see + communicate with the box : Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall

if you are referring to FTA ,then install a motor, if you are referring to ppv then upgrade your subscription card.
If you install TS panel ,then you could access our ADDONS which will automatically load on + install whatever you need..

I watched this vid but make sure you have sound down as it is horrible :

take it step by step..
first : load on image
second : load on emulator,for example , CCcam( depending on which card you are subbed to)
third: depending on what your future plan is for the box( meaning are you going ot setup a server so that you can view from other boxes in your home? )
the most important : reading is the road to success, trial + error is the key ;)
last but certainly not least ,at least until you get a better understanding of all this,

tips¿???? yes ,,read all the stickies in the vu+ section...
look at the backups to give you an idea of which plugins are what are considered the most popular.
i would suspect either it is the stb or the user that is the cause of so many failures over so many images..

last night you were asking about master G´s backup not being able to add a Cline or update channel settings,,then its BH, now its VIX,,,
I suggest your really should learn to walk before you try to run...

As BH release each image they generalise the contents,logs,updates ,etc for the 4 boxes, just like other teams,,
but yes, I agree ,it can be very confusing for a beginner so be it..gone!!

hey LOOK AT THE TITLE..IT SAYS CLEARLY THAT IT IS AN DUO IMAGE, YET IN THE DESCIPTION IT CLAIMS TO BE FOR UNO,not a duo image...

be very careful as this is not a backup but a full image.. user: root , pass : you have to telnet a password.
go to telnet : write : passwd ( enter the password here,it will remain invisible,then it will ask you to rewrite it, do so) ,
then when it is changed write reboot
then close dcc or vucc whichever you are using then reopen ,once hte duo has started up again,,write in your password to connect

do yourself a favour and pass by introductions as it should have been your first post and your second port of call after reading the forum rules.
Maybe then somebody might be able to help you and you wont feel so stupid after all,, you´ll be part of a very big community ;)
