you have the tools ,you know what is required for your stb but you are not willing to do them?
I think you will be a long time waiting for somebody else to do them for you..
At least an effort on your part would be to upload the ones you have done so far..

I can see you are using the same hostname for internal + your dads ( which should be his external ip as I presume is in a different network)??

to install the latest ts panel..simply follow mckee25´s post Nº #3
just open DCC or whichever way you ftp over the IPK into tmp then press GREEN- YELLOW -> MANUAL INSTALL IPK PÀCKAGES
then exit then restart box.. then you will see TS PANEL in MENU..
from there go to ADDONS -> linuxsat_support_Addons -> {chennal lists} and you will check the dates then choose one..

TS panel has our LSS addons which has the most up to date ,most recent channel settings ,plugins ,in fact t ocover just about everyuthing you need!!
simply choose a channel settings with a recent date ( my preference is with catseye , but if you are more familiar with 5ky channel settings then go for sgtflipflop)
once it downloads + installs press blue button to restart or simply restart box and it will have everything sorted into bouquets(lists) for you to use,,thats it..

as a noob start with vix ,,,then when you are more familiar wit hhow it actually works ,,start by making a backup of your personalised vix image then try other images...

exactly,,,, CCcam is very sensitive to spacings..

I have used this for testing without a card,,,, it works...

clones have to use a previous version of images,,, the latest images are for ORIGINAL boxes NOT in a clone!!!!

No worries,, best way to learn + find things out is by trying them yourself,, read the other users posts to get a heads up on what has worked/works ,etc..
there is even a post about favourite addon/plugins.. if you are interested... it´s all there..

As far as the box crashing ,,, this could be for a number of reasons which are all listed in the vu support threads.
Suggestion ,try to learn to walk before you run.;
for example ,backups have been made by users who have taken the time to make it easier for other users to not have to.( spend the hours)

into the searchbar and it will give you an idea of how the searchbar works.
The searchbar works with key words ,,the more specific you are ,the better the results.. try it.
