from my own experience , it wont work.. people on cable cant connect to sat, tru there cable box. there are people out there that sell boxes for cable, but your friend is better off spending about 150 for box and dish, for a bit of comfort
I beg to differ....I know of azbox combos ( sat+dvbT tuners) sharing their DVB-T premium local card (caid:1812:6e11) through the net and peers recieving the ecms and opening the said channels through a penstick DVBT ( which is terrestrial) using hadu or having a DMT box as client. this is also possible for cable as long as the sub card can be shared..

to open sat channels,the server has to have a satbox + sub to send ecms to the peer and to recieve cable channels the server needs to have a cablebox+ sub to send ecms to the peer..
sat frequencies run at a completely different frequency to cable or DTT,,so it?s obvious that a cable box cannot recieve sat channel signals,,but could in theory, could receive cable ecms/emms from a cable sub,,, -
the only thing thats occurs to me now is somebody would need to look at the internals of the setup,,,
you could either sign up as VIP to get 100% trusted help OR PM someone trustworthy with knowledge ... through teamviewer...

if your friend wants to recieve cable tv channels from a server then the server has to have a cable tv valid uptodate subscription ,if they want to recieve sat channels then the server has to have a sat subscription. etc..
you cannot receive something from someone who doesnt have the subscription..another thing to remember is that the cable card can be shared or not...
cable is NOT dvbT ( also known as DTT or TDT)
Of course this is all just my theory as many countries do not permit the card sharing...and I quote:

this is possible.... in spain there are premium terrestrial channels which are shared over the net.
REMEMBER to recieve sat channels you must have a sat reciever ,likewise for cable, dvbT ,etc... -
in your CCcam config:
LISTEN TO SERVER PORT : yourport
ALLOW WEBINFO: yes

WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16001-MAKE SURE YOU OPENED BOTH TCP/UDP PORT in your router not just tcp or udp.

for a decent exchange you would need a minimum of 3 mbs dl but most important is the upload min 500kbs , supposing you are not using any other p2p programmes or other PCs connected.
video (i.e, skype, etc ) consume the most ...
as far as ping ,,anything under 100ms is considered "decent" within europe with a margin of 120ms is considered slow..
this is a general rule as each server has their own requisites..
the reason for generalizing is because of all factors taken into account : total number of peers, peers connecting to the same card , servers in cities within 200 mtrs of central, others in villages, kms away from central, etc.. -
the "bender" took a little longer (thurs - sun)this year and still have the hangover,thank goodness it?s only once a year!!

Latest download of Oscam for Windows, built on cygwin.
Place oscam.exe in the same folder of cygwin dlls and configuration files. -

It was originally released back in 06.10 by the luft4sat team and has had very positive reviews ;)

checking it out ,,leaving it on channel +2 should update it ,but updates can take more than 24 hrs so I would leave it on that channel when not viewing.. haven?t seen any posts or info about +9 +10 changing and my peers open all channels no problem.
remember to use a valid email account (for example .gmail) in case they need/want to contact you..
last word of advice would be to contact the card supplier if you don?t succeed yourself..

from what I?ve read most jsc cards seem to have problems updating incl. through the official page which allows up to 3 updates per day so unless you can recieve direct signal (nilesat 7?W ) like other users allow emms .. it has been mentioned that hotbird doesnt update that frequently..
Note for other future users: if your card hasnt been preactivated then you have a period of one weeks grace to activate it.. -
sounds to me like a possible internal IP change,hence the bad/changed connection..

another thing could be in network card dhcp should not be marked . web interface port:(in my case 80) should be..
