    just jumped from 2.1.4 to 2.2.1,,,I agree it does seem faster not only in channels but restarting CCcam ...
    have to admit that I am forever "tinkering" with configs..so it could be down to this also....
    I wonder ,hmmmmm.... caz ;)

    scooby ? have you opened the port in BOTH TCP + UDP????although to be client,you don?t need to open a port but
    it sounds like either router problem or image/cccam....
    I havent got this box but i did read somewhere something similar to the DM800?s..
    ?did you reset the router when after the new setup?? check it all out..step by step...
    edit: ? have you tried a different version of cccam ???
    make a copy of your .cfg then copy your settings(servers/peers) and paste it in the new one..

    so using a receiver as a server. where/can i remove say all hop3 and above by putting a line somewhere??

    how's that for basic?

    I think you have posted in the wrong place ,however ,see if this helps:

    limit the end of the clines to { 0:0:2 } or if your servers is strong enough to : { 0:0:1 }

    Therefore, everybody should use MINIMUM DOWNHOPS: 1 in their config if they have a server

    if I may be so permitted to a correction : if you are using a PC SERVER ....just to clear up any confusion,, as this post started as: block cards for noobs which might seem obvious with more experienced users ,, not new users..

    so many peers?
    well, I like to flick through all the channels available, im also a footy fan, I live in England but i am Portuguese, therefore i follow the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italian etc teams.
    Also this is "Cardsharing".....all the cards i receive I also share with my peers.
    no local emm cause the card is on a server with an omnikey reader.
    if I allow emms then the card gets flooded
    Cards is updated on the digibox

    I?m Irish ,livin ?n lovin in spain , have more than I need in the way of vision , but each card is needed to keep my neccessary peers happy ( I hope)

    ?? no offence !! ?but why the need for so many peers?? it?s beyond me!!
    Current time : 02:00:56
    Uptime : 07d 01:00:05
    Connected clients : 52
    Total handled client ecm's : 61484
    Total handled client emm's : 0
    Total handled LOCAL ecm's : 2571 / 2575 (99%)
    Peak load (max queued requests per workerthread) : 3 3 3 1 1 1
    ?why is there no local ecms showing on yours??? just curious...

    great for plectrums + opening doors though ;) but seriously if you only take the minimum downhops then you will miss out on some good cards that do open channels for you !! a lot of local servers dont give reshare!! if you simply keep it to { 0:0:2 } then you will recieve cards that won?t freeze ,any hops further down would only be suitable for completely new servers which dont have enough hop1 for example.... methods of filtering has already been half-explained in previous posts....so the more hop1 the less downhops the client needs thus the less peers needed for a good tight stable server ;)

    By far the best method is to take your peers local and select only the hop2 cards you need this completley does away with the need for a prio file.

    Agreed,
    .cfg could get quite big,depending on the amount of peers/servers,and what you want to recieve so it?s really a question of trying out and take note of the difference of each method..
    caz ;)

    In a word: yes, but there is a lot more to consider ,i.e. your server will only request whichever cards you give priority and will ignore whichever you put in ignore...
    cline filtering to recieve can be very hefty thus slow down your server reponse time ...Global limits stops all unwanted /unneeded but....for example if I have a peer in europe who wants to watch a certain spanish terrestrial channel and I have it filtered in global,,the user wont recieve it...nobody will recieve it..so this is where Fline filtering becomes more exclusive to each peer to share and cline to recieve...
    thinking about it now ,I don?t know if I am confusing you more now than before,lol..

    either add to the end of the cline : { 0:0:2, 0961:0 } or add global limits(its already posted) or in prio : I: 0961:000000 # SKY UK (28E) ..
    I= IGNORE
    P= PRIORITY
    If you want to block all old/fakes or unused, you need to create your own global limits by reading the providors list in your CCcaminfo and start building,,
    remember filtering Clines stops it getting to you thus not passing them on,,,global limits arrives to yu but wont pass them on,,,and PRIO is you recieve only want you want to view and gives priority to those cards..and also ignore those you dont want... Master G has posted the most recent Prio ,but remember to change the
    P: 0961:000000 # SKY UK (28E) to I: 0961:000000 # SKY UK (28E)...
    NOTE: the more you add to CCcam the slower your servers response to act/work
    caz

    Martin ,, thank you for the time + effort put into this section , it is very handy indeed and i imagine is used by more users than we/you realize..
    thumbs up mate ;) caz

    *** Changelog ***

    v1.1
    - Fixed loading of Db.sdf
    - Fixed parsing of service's reference

    v1.0
    - First release

    an uptodate channelinfo provides all the info you need about caid:sid (caid is the platform and sid is the identity of the wanted channel )for example:0100:004106:6FF0 "(19.2E) VH1.. (caid: 100:4106, 6FF0 is the sid(channel VH1)
    you?ll find channelinfo in the same folder as your .cfg...
    i think 0961 cards still open certain channels therefore they dont have to request ecms from another peer to open that channel thus reducing streaming traffic.. maybe somebody with this card can give you better info about this..

    I agree ,,,only problem I can see is that it changes as platforms change,etc,, and for some strange reason some users "invent" caids acting as locals....check out your c/s studio in PROVIDORS you?ll see what enters your server and from this you get a better(for want of a better word,lol) idea of what you want to block, you can break it down to add to clines as mentioned above (which will take you more time ) global limits( they still enter your server but you won?t pass them on) or as our friend ,samnabil, has mentioned, simply restrict by limiting the (hops:caid:sids) that you really want..
