if you cant get a tv screen picture then use your browser/webif: 192.168.x.XX:80 and use the remote on that to make any changes..

look at back or under the Duo ..is there a sticker with V2 or V3 written ?affirmative? its a clone...
If not then try another image... -
check all your connections ,including sat signal....might be as simple as strong winds, bad weather..

otherwise I imagine you may have to use either dreamset or dreambox edit.
Download whichever sat.xml you want to use from USEFUL LINKS on the navbar.. -

Well that´s it primarily except you need to install an emulator such as oscam/CCcam or whichever best suits your card
to be able to "read" your card and decrypt it so you can view it on your stb.. -

This is an old image buddy however if it doesn´t already have emulators installed then you can use this pack: Cam Paket for OoZooN OE 2.0 -
Is this Oscam a way to open the channels or what is this folks ?
Look at top navbar you will see OSCAM, if you scroll on it you will see the OSCAM WIKI
Basically it is an emulator to help you configure your card to work in a non official box -
when you scroll through the sat lists you might see SERVICES - PROVIDERS- and NEW check in there..

thanksYOu do NOT EXTRACT the package file.. you simply update the zip itself from within the fbox2 settings.
it can take a few mins so do NOT touch or move anything during.... -

thanks for reply, think I will leave well alone as it is not a major problem, so I presume thats where I would FTP to, and would that override current sat list or would I have to remove first. I want to install Catseye settings which I have previously done from linuxsat support plugin, but I don't see them there anymore

Try today´s catseye from our Addons now buddy. it was probably while I was updating it..

"services" are the channels themselves.
So using Dreambox edit you need to have a sat.xml file ready amongst other things..
if you download from your box then you will see dreamboxedit fill up.
An alternative option would be to download a recent ready made channel settings list or create your own from sats.xml in USEFUL LINKS above top right on navbar -

No I didn't. I have no idea what technological advancements have been made which is why I'm posting here. I'm not a developer, I simply use the software provided on this forum. Perhaps there was new software to use that I wasn't aware of.

But you cannot deny that if you had tried it out with your own setup then read up for any possible news would have been the best option.
You did not mention what if anything you had tried.
Therefore you have created a thread from something so simple and obvious.
If you feel offended by such a reaction then maybe you should learn that no matter what is posted on public internet,it is open for everyone to comment.

what you do with your server is your own business.
If you are looking for other peers I suggest you be discrete in your quest.
Read the rules so you have no doubt of what is/isn´t permitted..
