I'm in Belgium, and I'd like to introduce myself.
Using a Vu+ Duo2 here, with two dual tuners.
I make use of all four inputs: I'm a big film collector and my setup allows me to record up to 12 channels simultaneously!
All these inputs are available for my LNB's through a 4-1 switches setup: Astra1, Astra2 and Astra3.Image used is Vti 7.0, which I prefer to most others.
Second question:
Would like to try the "scripting" mentioned in the Backup/Restore to the same end.

I use dreamboxEdit 5.1.1 without a hiccough on 3 STBs no problem ( one is e1 and the other two e2)
Go to tools - options and make sure you have it set up right.. Test IP , test username/password
Ensure that the paths are correct..
Then SAVE the configuration before you try to do anything else .
restart STB and all should be OK to use.. -

Have you searched for the IP ?
Have you manually configured the IP on the box with the remote control ?
Are you using the correct password?
The more info you give the better.. -

If you or a peer have the right subscription then in theory yes ,its possible when there is an event being broadcast..

If there is no stream from one link then try another..
As long as you are outside the UK but if you are in the UK hten maybe you need to set up a proxy..

I f you are trying to watch spanish channel you will have to pint to astra 19ºE.
or 30ºW hispasat as already mentioned caid:1810 -
what means Are they backups or from scratch?
did you download a ready made and setup image by an other user or did you start from a fresh image ..? -

Possiblities: Get a subscription card that you can share through a box which has the capabilties of sharing (not openbox)
and then find a trustful friend who has a diff one to yours and so share with each other discretely...
At least this is the theory ...

send the logs from a vix image to the vix team so they can study it..
As for the power surges,, yes this is very probable, here they are called "picos de tension" which are very normal..lol
A way around this is to buy yourself a "regleta de tensión" where you can plug everything incl. telephone,etc...
Have you got another box to test with ?
Have you tried reinstalling the image ?? could be a simple case of a cron job running in the background,,logs should reveal this. -
If you can FTP int othe box then copy all your personal configs.. dont know which image you have on but try in etc/tuxbox and etc/enigma2 folders..
In your last post you say initialize HDD,, but I though a usb stick was your problem¿? -
Change the image or reinstall it would probably be the fastest way to get around that buddy.
