    That may be so ,but public net history tells a different story for anyone who cares to look......
    That´s why he is not banned yet,,to give him time to respond....
    as for backing up, tweaking yes,, I for one, am in favour of this and applaud anyone who is willing to take it on,,
    but my natural instinct based on experience which tells me different....
    btw resharing is not the same as reselling..

    you say your website/ portal ..do you mean you have setup a portal or you rent from a portal??
    All I can see is the sign in window is small nothing else so I dont see any problem...
    I would also strongly suggest you take the time to read the site rules buddy....

    the stb ( box) is a personal choice..read the previous threads in this section to give you some ideas..
    the sponsor has some interesting offers too( check the lss users discount)
    basically you are looking for is a 110 dish,inverto black LNB, tm2600 motor super and a half decent enigma2 box..
    I don´t think this will fall inside your 400 budget... but as I say ,save up a little more on the side..
    ahhh and lastly what hasn´t been mentioned yet is the subscription card,,there are so many,,
    choose one that you would use yourself and can be "shareable" .....
    all of this info has been well documented over the years bud,,you just got to read up ;)

    you are probably referring to uk hd only which is only one of a possible 37 sats with multiple platforms hovering over Europe alone!!!!
    you are losing out if you dont get motorised!!!!!

    Hd channels are bountiful and varied amongst platforms....
    why the obsession with future proof???? NOTHING is future proof ,not you ,not me,,no machine,,,,
    We are enjoying our hobby today so I dont see the need to look at the future..

    with no disrespect intended but an f5s is similar to a box I used 10 years ago.... useless for anything else apart from looking at rubbish tv programming...
    Once you go enigma2 you never go back... seriously ,, save up as much as the household permits while reading up and go for the best you can--
    you wont regret it and yes,,, vix do a great wife friendly image,,,

    a satellite reciever will only pick up sat signals.. to be able to view ppvchannels you need to have a valid subscription card..
    there are enigma2 linux boxes with sat recievers that can handle a modified version of xbmc but its not the same as the full xbmc which we all enjoy..
    you need to start reading a lot in hte different sections buddy..
    Look in the plugins section for xbmc, also check out ts media center which is excellent..
    look at the sponsor´s offers for a decent box and if necessary start saving up for it,it will be worth the wait,,

    The problem could be anything in your setup on that stb..
    have you got a working backup image for it?? stick it back on..


    otherwise ask your peer for a different line and if (s)he refuses then stop sharing your line with them...

    how do you expect the reception to be better if you block the signal with a plastic ??
    Which sats are you having problems with buddy??
    Maybe your set up needs tweaking.... possibly new cable,lnb ,etc..
    The more info you give us the more ideas we can come up with...

    Your first post should have been in introductions buddy, but better late than never..
    what you are referring to would involve stalker setup which requires quite a bit of time and patience and understanding and a lot of bandwidth....
    you have used the word vendor but to be honest they are payserver portals so I suggest you read the rules again if you haven´t already done so,...

    As it´s for the wife ,I would suggest any e2 stb that can handle vix images as it seems to be very popular with "wives" ......
    As boxgott suggests ... vu+ all the way,,, it takes less time to setup than for herself to brew a pot of tea....
    they are rock solid and are capable of just about all methods of viewing these days ( using the right plugins)
    very wife and kids friendly to the point of boring for the rest of us who do like to experiment....
    Check out sponsor´s offers and also I think there may still be a small discount for lss users ( don´t quote me on that )

    Hey buddy, this is a hobbyist community,,,the fun is in experimenting,,not watching crap programming....
    you will be missing out on the best fun I can think of ( not really,lol)..


    To help you decide and learn,,compare the images,plugins,queries,experimenting on e2 images compared to the nothing but problematic posts about spark stbs.....
    Don´t take this as negative criticism,, it´s constructive....
