To understand how and why you need to download "XMLTV file" and "channels file" from the links given in this file and see their contents... It seems to me that after that everything should be clear to you. But then again, you already have all that in /etc/epgimport ...

Nothing is impossible. DVB-S, DVB-C, and DVB-T channels have “serviceref” ... Create a matching table (***channels.xml) for the XMLTV you need and the corresponding ****-source.xml file ...
