yes its not too difficult a task at all to add favorites,but this is not my plugin and in order to fix it i had to first decompile it.

decompiling plugins and modifying them without the authors permission is not exactly cricket so to speak.

i did it this time,simply because it had completely stopped working,so im sure subix wont mind too much,although i did add a couple of stability fixes too,but modifying by totally adding new code to give extra features,is a completely different matter altogether.
i dont think he would like that at all.
if the plugin were open source it would be a different story,but subix has chosen to make it closed source,so until this changes,i wouldnt want to do this.

ok i fixed this last week,but have been trying to get in touch(without success)with subixonfire to obtain his permission to release it or to find out if he was himself going to release a fix.

as hes not done so and so many are asking for this fix,ive taken the liberty of doing it instead.i could be wrong,but ive a feeling he's lost interest since TSonline added 1channel to their plugin,without first obtaining his permission.

so i hope he doesnt mind that ive done this.

works on all images except Vix

Further edit as this plugin insisted on overwriting the download and plugin rem***l buttons and replacing them with the sort buttons.

i didnt like this,so now the original buttons remain and pluginsort can only be accessed by pressing the menu button once you have your plugin list displayed.

much better for users i think.

as usual ftp to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/

send over pluginsort and chmod the folder to 755 and also the contents to 755 then restart enigma2

all plugins can be edited to run on all images.including those supposedly just created for DMM images,simply by removing the stupid DMM protection.

but crash logs are needed as well as info on why the plugin doesnt show in the list.in other words the info about what the box is complaining about after a reboot when menu followed by plugins is selected.

also,if the plugin is not open source and is in pyo format (machine code) then it first has to be decompiled to py format (human readable code) to be able to edit it,very easy to do,but not everyone knows how.

but the answer to your question is yes it can be done as the devixified plugins that ive edited in the past to run on BH show.

BH users wont need this as its part of the BH image,but this plugin is much desired by OpenPli users.

so ive downloaded the source files from the GitHub and edited them to run on OpenPli

manually install the plugin and restart enigma2.

now when you enter your plugins list,if you then press menu,you will be presented with another box containing the plugin sort options.
just select "enable move mode" for example then highlight the plugins that you wish to move,press ok and move them up and down the list to your desired position.

when done press exit.

thats it,your plugins are now reordered into exactly how you want them in your list.

Tested and working on OpenPli 3.0

buddy,your confusing yourself here.

if the plugin doesnt show on some images,then its not the edit of the plugin to make it work on all images thats at fault.
its simply that you have one or more dependencies missing in that particular image.
you have to reboot,then press menu followed by plugins in the menu list and take note at what the box complains about,then add that particular dependency,eg if it complains about beautifullsoup,you then add beautifullsoup,or if its simplejson,you then add simplejson to your image .you do this one step at a time until the box no longer complains and the plugin then shows in your plugin list.

you will then see that the edit of this plugin is perfectly fine.

if as you say you have no audio,then again this is not the edit of the plugin thats at fault.
the plugin just connects to an rtmp stream and plays that stream on your box.it has no control at all as to what audio codec is used.this is solely dependent upon the audio of the stream,so if the stream contains mpeg1 then the correct audio codec is selected to decode that for you,or if its ac3 the same applies.this is done by the image,not the plugin.

so

given the above info,doesnt it stand to reason that your image doesnt contain the needed codec to decode the audio stream?

as i said in my previous post.check your rtmp libs and also your gst gstreamer files.pay particular attention to the audio libs.
connect to your packet feeds within your image and see whats installed,whats not installed and whats available to install.

the original plugin is just for VIX images,but this version works for all.the plugin itself has been edited to work on all images as the title suggests(as far as we were able to test)

if you cannot install it or get it to work,then its down to other issues within your image or your box.
we cannot be expected to edit the plugin and also supply all needed files for you to get it to run on an ancient image.

if i were you and you are getting no sound or picture i would start by looking at your existing gstreamer files and libs.
in particular take a look at you rtmp gstreamer files and rtmp lib files.
how old are these ?
do you even have all the ones that are needed ?

the edit of the plugin is not at fault here,its the age of your image and the fact that you are using a clone(many standard files are missing in clone images)these files have to be added by the user.
but trust me,many over on satpimps have this working on DM800 clones !

Dude,are you seriously trying to tell us that you are trying to send over the whole usr folder to your box ?

if you have done this and overwritten any existing files,you will now find yourself in the postition of having to reflash your box after you next reboot it.

you dont send the usr folder over !
you send over its contents !

so you open the usr folder in your fxp program and you will then see a folder called lib,you then open the usr folder in you box and you also see a folder called lib.
you then open the lib folder in your fxp program and you will see a folder called enigma2,then next python and so on untill you get to the last file.you do the same in your box opening enigma2 then python and so on till you get to the last file which in this case is extensions.

when you have opened extensions on both your box and your ftp program you then send the OnDemand folder over,so in your box inside the extensions folder you see OnDemand.

you then open this folder in your box and chmod the contents to 755

lastly you restart enigma2 and you then have the plugin installed.

if your only trying to add the dependencies,then the same rules apply but you end up in the python2.7 folder for some and the site packages folder for others.
whatever folder you open on your pc,you just open the corresponding folder in your box.when there are no more folders to open on the pc,then this is where the file or files are sent in your box.

do you understand ?

i hope youve not screwed up your box,but i strongly suspect that a reflash is now required.

you guys are missing the point here.

this version is for all images but you do not need to use it when you are using BH 2.0.2 because the image itself has been modified to support the coordinates and the rescaling of the png's used by the original plugin.
the version for 2.0.2 is on the BH feeds,but its not showing because of legal reasons.

so to install the version of this plugin from the BH feeds thats specifically for 2.0.2 you need to telnet into your box and issue these commands.

opkg update
opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand

the image will then download and install all of the needed dependencies and the plugin itself and after a restart you will then have the correct version for use in 2.0.2

try to remember that the version on this site is more for the use in other images although if its installed correctly,it will also work with 2.0.2 too.

i/o module is a kernel module,so your image is at fault here and we cannot do anything to rectify this for you.

how old is the kernel ? ie what version is it ?

when did you last update it ?

what image do you have this running on ?

we have it fully working on OpenPli,and nearly fully working on BP,but we are still some way from getting it to run on BH

new files have been added to the OE Alliance github

including itv screens and 4OD Player

trying to edit now and about 50% of the needed edits to the code is now completed.ive got the new plugin version to run on both python 2.6 and 2.7,on both BP and BH,but only by removing the png's(will sort these later)they seem to be 32bit and most images can only display 8bit or 16bit
the biggest problem and one i may not be able to overcome alone is to do with the skins.
certain elements appear to be missing from none vix skins and at the mo im totally stuck on this.and the plugin is crashing when trying to display the new itv screens.the jpegs are downloaded to the /tmp file but as i said my skin cannot display them.

anyone wishing to help needs to add two new modules too to get the new version of the plugin to run.

you need both the simplejson and decimal.py modules

i can supply these to anyone wishing to help as ive already sourced them off the net.

never been good with skins.

if anyone here is good with skins,this is what needs to be addressed.

FTP to /usr/lib/opkg/

here you will find a file called status.

send this file to your desktop and delete all references to Tspanel that you find it .then send it back,and reboot.

you will then find that the new ipk instals first time for you without any errors.

i take your point and i do except what you are saying,honestly i do,but the fact remains that this plugin has now been edited to run on all images VIX included,so i just dont see why the OE Alliance couldnt have edited it this way themselves in the first place.

actually digidude ive just had a message on ***pe this morning and it appears that ten bellows ipk's are still doing the exact same thing as what our first ipk files did in the fact that they are not overwriting any existing files.

here's the message copied and pasted.

it appears that from this that the installation is still failing if these or other files already exist on the box.

these files dont have the straight off the telly fix in them,but the earlier set that i sent you do have this fix in them.
could you address this as well please in your new set of ipk's ?

digidude,perhaps you can enlighten me as to why the OE Alliance has edited your BBCiplayer file and also the others in their container plugin so they specifically only run on VIX ?

for example the menu box sizing,who on earth uses figures like e-160 these days ?
i feel this has been specifically written this way to confuse other images and in particular the BH image as theres no way in hell that any BH skin would be able to use these values,and so any attemp results in a gsod.

there are many others too but thats just one off the top of my head
